Sarah Palin and Family

By: Lisa On: Sep/1/08 - 39 Comments

After a week long disgusting display from leftist blogs, Democratic pundits and some MSM – the perpetuating myth that Sarah Palin is not the actual mother of her youngest baby has been completely dispelled. I’m left with a sick, sick feeling about the people who pushed this story around over the past week – - most notably the loons at Daily Kos. These pathetic folks on the left fabricate their stories in hopes of discrediting an intelligent, hard working, experienced, accomplished woman running for Vice President.

In case you missed it over the weekend – it started with this post on the Daily Kos. (updated that link with the Google Cache version because the Daily Kos, in their shame, took the post down!) The author of this post, ARCXIX – started it by posting pictures of Sarah Palins 16 year old daughter, Bristol – claiming that she was pregnant in those pictures and that the daughter is the actual mother of Trig Palin. This author further claims that Sarah Palin faked her pregnancy and faked the birth of Trig Palin in order to cover up her oldest daughters indiscretion. The story was picked up by Drudge and away it went!

Today, Sarah Palin was forced to make the announcement that her daughter, Bristol, could not possibly be Trig’s mother because Bristol, now aged 17, is currently 5 months pregnant, herself (as if that is any of our business):

We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us,” the Palins’ statement said.

“Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support,” the Palins said.

The Palins asked the news media to respect the young couple’s privacy. – Reuters

A loving, supportive family standing behind and supporting their daughter. A very, very stark contrast to Obama’s answer of how he didn’t want his daughter to be punished with a baby.

Bristol Palin is not being punished with a baby – - she is being blessed with a baby, and blessed with a loving, supportive family who will help support her through this.

As for the Democrats pushing the myth about Sarah Palins pregnancy? Shame on all of them – seriously. This is the lowest of the low and I was just sick to read it all throughout the weekend.

A senior McCain campaign official said the McCain camp was appalled that these rumors had not only been spread around liberal blog sites and partisan Democrats, but also were the subject of heightened interest from mainstream news media.

“The despicable rumors that have been spread by liberal blogs, some even with Barack Obama’s name in them, is a real anchor around the Democratic ticket, pulling them down in the mud in a way that certainly juxtaposes themselves against their ‘campaign of change,’” a senior aide said. – Reuters

The Democrats can’t find anything to discredit Sarah Palin’s experience and accomplishments in her personal and professional lives, so they stoop to making up this story and pushed it all over the internet over the past weekend.

I hope they are proud.

Hope and change, my ass!

More left wing blogs attempting to perpetuate the myth, thereby – making an ass out of themselves:

Once again, by attempting to propagate a lie, the Daily Kos shows that it is actually the Daily Pos.

It’s seriously disgusting – there’s no defense or justification for it.

This is the party of hope and change, right? I’m still waiting to see it.

It is why I say, seriously, that today’s Democrite Party is Satan’s chief Minion on earth. The Democrites lie constantly. They can find success only when they lie, because if they revealed their true nature to the American public, the vast majority of voters would be disgusted and vote them out. So they couch their agenda in rhetoric and lies, even stealing core Conservative values to insert into their speeches as Obama did to trick those who are not vigilant. To many of us it is so transparent it is laughable. But far too many voters are suckered by it.

Yes it works fine now! I wonder who this little ArcXIX dirtbag Kos writer is, who so boldy called Sarah Palin a liar? I wonder if he is a paid propagandist, or a volunteer wanker? daily Pos is the lowest of the low. At least Propagandists such as the NYT were once great institutions. Daily Pos had never even risen to the level of a bird-cage-liner newspaper; now it has sunk to the lowest level of online blogging in existence.

Any bets on whether Daily Pos will post a retraction and apology?

Furthermore – I feel sorry for Bristol. If every mistake I made at the age of 17 was played out on a national stage, I’m not sure how I would’ve made it to 18. Now that the truth is out there, leave the children of this campaign alone.

Come on, Fred – I know you to be a very reasonable guy. Even you couldn’t possibly suggest that this fabrication of Sarah Palin not being the mother of her youngest child is somehow justified in some way? Daily Kos reported this story as if it were FACT with absolutely nothing to substantiate it. Even you have to agree that this is pretty low?

Fabrication and speculation is rampant on BOTH sides of the political aisle – - no one is immune from it. This particular attack, however, was pretty disgusting, don’t you think?

Well in truth, I do not like any of the bullshit that goes on, The half truths, or bold face lies, the inmature name calling, I just think it is a tad ironic to express outrage when if the boot were on the right foot there would be no issue repeating replicating embelishing and exagerating it to the max. To be fair you’re not usually the originator but there you go. Personally I don’t find this particular plate of tripe overly offensive but if it truly does give you a sick sick feeling then god bless you…

The Democrites howled when Michelle Obama was scrutinized…after she had placed herself into the political arena. But they never had any problem attacking the Bush girls. That is why I call them “Democrites”. With them, double-standards and hypocrisy are not only pervasive, they have been elevated to the highest levels.

Fred, fabrication and speculation for the sake of it is expected in politics and I’m not generally so faint of heart to be offended every time it happens. When the attacks are against the children of the candidates, however – I find it a very low blow.

I was glad to see Obama come out today and say that family should be off limits, especially the children. He really had no choice because even he, and his handlers, realize that he cannot align himself with this kind of smear against the kids.

I would have been equally offended if the right had attacked Obama’s kids… or Joe Bidens. In my mind, the kids are off limits, period. The press understood and respected that when Bill and Hillary were in the White House…they pretty much left Chelsea alone.

Kids don’t choose who their parents are, or what their parents do for a living. There’s no reason why this teenaged girls life should be plastered across the evening news. What she is dealing with is probably hard enough, at her age, ya know? That the left chose to use her for political gain is just sick, really.

  25. Max Conservative
    September 2, 2008 - 12:42 AM on September 2nd, 2008

I’ve heard the excuse about how the Conservatives are no different all weekend, and it’s bunk. Conservatives turned out during the funeral of Matthew Sheppard, and stood blocking the path of the Westboro Baptist Church members who wished to disrupt the funeral screaming about Matthew’s homosexuality. Conservatives sat on the jury and convicted the perpetrators of the crime. No Conservative I knew said anything about the boy deserving to die. Only the kooks, who were kept away from the family by the Conservatives you denounce.

No Conservative cheered when Senator Kennedy was diagnosed with Cancer. A few troublemakers may have, but we usually jump on such people as insensitive fools. The difference is we don’t wish for trouble to strike others, while you Liberals do. Liberals feel like they are superior to everyone else, and thus what happens to those you don’t like is poetic justice from the Universe, or Gaia, or whatever, and they deserve it. How many times have you heard your friends pray that Bush was struck dead? I never heard my friends say that, in fact, I was in the Army at the time, and one of my soldiers said if any Queers were allowed in after the election of President Clinton, he wouldn’t be following any orders about the issue. I personally didn’t like Clinton. I hadn’t voted for him. I did take that soldier aside, as his Sergeant, and told that soldier that if I heard him speak ill of the Commander and Chief again, I would personally take him to the woodline where we could remove our rank, and give him a medium beating for it. The man was the Commander and Chief, and that meant we followed his orders, nobody ever said we’d like those orders, or we would want those orders. We swore an oath to follow them and that was that.

When the kids of Congressmen get into trouble, you never hear the Conservatives saying that this proves that the person is or isn’t a good leader, because of what happened. How many of the Kennedy Clan have gotten DUI’s? How many have we said should be put to death because of it? Consider this, we never make racial, or sexual comments about Liberals. That is left to the Liberals to say about Condi Rice, Clarence Thomas, Michael Steele and many others. Why is it OK to call Condi Aunt Jemimah? What political point is made with that hateful comment? Why don’t you call on the people who have called Clarence Thomas Uncle Tom to be fired?

I know why, and you do to. Because the people who say the negative things about minorities are Liberals, and they support your causes. That’s why there haven’t been any calls to shut down the Daily Kos when the posters there scream that Michelle Malkin was an anchor baby, and should go back to doing ping pong ball shows.

That’s the real difference between Conservatives and Liberals, and why I like Conservatives better. The Conservatives may not approve of what you’re doing, but only the Liberals really hate you for it. Admit it, you’d love it if Bristol got an abortion. Before you say “No I wouldn’t” know this. I know part of the reason you vote Democrat is to protect Roe V. Wade, and I know that you support a woman’s right to choose, and we heard you when you Liberals opposed parental notification regarding Abortions performed on minors.

On the other hand, I respect Bristol’s choices. Since she’s planning on Marrying the boy, we can assume that there is love there, and it may work out, I pray it does, and they stay married for life. She told her parents, which means she felt that they would be disappointed in her, but that they would support and love her. Again an assumption, but a reasonably safe one. I respect her decision to see the miracle that life is, and the miracle that is growing within her. You see only the chance to cause another Conservative to fall, and that is why I hold you Liberals in the utmost contempt. Nothing is off limits, no comment is too crass, too crude, or too hurtful. Racist comments, comments on a persons sexuality, everything is on the table when you oppose the political views of the person in question, or even just the views of the person’s relative.

Looks like your arch-enemies the Democrats weren’t so terribly off the mark were they?

And lil Sarah’s nowhere to be found. SARAH! SARAH! Come out! Come out! It’s damage control time. Seems like the nomination of Palin skipped right over the vetting process.

First of all, Eben, what damage control? I am quite sure Sarah Palin has much more important things on her mind right now than this internal family issue that has already been dealt with and exists as a problem only in the minds of those who want to make it so.

And second…ahem…you bring up the bridge to nowhere? It just so happens she opposed it and in fact that is one of her many good points.

So RedFred you presume to know what is in my mind when I post something? How pesumptuous; or maybe you know all and are the true Messiah not Obama?

Actually, you are wrong. I call them “Democrites” because I believe it appropriately describes the core of the Democrat leadership. I made that term up, I like it, and I use it. Other people like it too. And if you don’t like it, well, that is just going to have to be a problem for you.

Robert dear, you are a sad silly little man, you have my pity.

“I am quite sure Sarah Palin has much more important things on her mind right now than this internal family issue” – I hope not, that would be horrible for her daughter, and I am pretty sure it is far far from the truth, I suspect she is a better mother than you give her credit for.

    September 3, 2008 - 07:42 AM on September 3rd, 2008

Well Fred, it is a private family issue that is being played out on a national stage. It is important, but hardly her most important. Sarah isn’t pregnant. The daughter is pregnant, 5 months along, and we aren’t hearing that there are any health issues that are potential problems for Bristol. So for Sarah and her husband, it is a matter of waiting for their Grandchild to arrive. For Bristol, the picture is a bit different. This is the most important issue facing her. She will rely on friends and family, but it is her issue. When my brother informed our parents that his gf was pregnant, it was not the most important issue facing my parents. it was one that filled them with hope and anticipation and gave them something to look forward to, but at the same time, my father had his mother living with them, and my mother handled most of the care at that point. Grandmother was just being diagnosed with Alzheimers. So in the scheme of things, my parents did have more pressing issues, but the love for their grandchild began the day they found out about the pregnancy.

REDFRED, even with the comparatively small number of total posts you have made in your two-day blitz here, one fact is readily apparent: You are an arrogant, condescending wanker. I neither care about nor want your “pity”.

You clearly think you are so above it all, so above the mundane level of online discourse. It probably troubles you somewhat to even be forced to descend to my level and offer the precious nugget of wisdom and insight that you have done in your post above.

In reality, with your interpretation of what I posted, as you did the last time you commented on what I posted, you misread/misinterpreted what I posted, probably deliberately, which manufactured an opportunity to impress everyone with your deep insight and brilliant wit. IMO all you have done is once again demonstrate your clear area of expertise is battling straw men of your own creation.

The problem with guys like you is you don’t even know what you don’t know. Your head is so far in the clouds (or somewhere else) you aren’t capable of self-awareness and analysis and probably will never become aware of what an ass you make of yourself when you do that.

I post hyperbolic, often provocative things. I do it quite intentionally, that is the style I have chosen because I find it entertaining. It is my conscious choice. I’d guess that your online persona and personality, that of a wanker, is the real thing, the default originating from your real life self. If that is the case, then you truly deserve all of the available pity.

All pro-life supporters should be mandated to adopt a child. Also, so funny how this woman opposes safe sex education (which we all know has a higher success rate over abstinence only) and her teenage daughter ends up pregnant. Palin needs to be at home, raising her 5 children and will soon be supporting and raising her grandchild. Sad that she is publicizing off her handicap child, whom needs her attention the most at this moment. So sad….

I would say that Obama needs to be home, organizing his Community. He is utterly clueless about anything beyond his corrupt Chicago political base. He has zero understanding of the Energy problem we face. He has consistently been wrong about foreign policy, with Iraq in particular. He has ot the faintest concept of how the U.S. Military functions or what it should do.

His church and his mentor, Jeremiah Wright, need him back too. Why, Wright’s hate America, hate Whitey speeches just aren’t the same without Oabama and family’s smiling faces amongst the throng.

It’s true that Sarah Palin does have the most executive experience
of all the candidates in this election. This experience includes
“spreading the wealth” (see: Alaska’s Windfall Profits Tax),
“abuse of power” (see: Troopergate), “questionable expenditures”
(see: Family travel expenses, hair and wardrobe costs).

But let us not get caught up in the here and now.
Let us journey through the past darkly:

From Lil’ Sarah Palin’s 4th Grade portfolio:

    DEMOCRATS = DEMOCRACY
As in “the democratically elected government of…”

    REPUBLICANS = REPUBLIC
As in The People’s Republic of China
    The People’s Republic of Cuba

I hope to grow up to: Live in a FREE Alaska and marry Joe Vogel,
the leader of the Alaskan Independence Party.
