David Kahane: I Hate You Sarah Palin
A couple of months ago, you couldn’t drive anywhere in Los Angeles without seeing giant billboards that proclaimed, “I hate you, Sarah Marshall.” …..
…..But ever since that wrinkly old white dude with the numberless residences, John “the Senator from the Canal Zone” McCain, rained on Barack Hussein Obama II Barry Soetero Barack Hussein Obama Jr., a.k.a. the “Senator from Hinky Dink Kenna,” aka the Punahou Kid’s, parade with his insane, opportunistic, clueless, out-of-touch and breathtakingly audacious, game-changing pick of Sarah Marshall Palin to be his vice president, there’s another Sarah in town to hate.
The media has done more for John McCain in the last two days than he’s done for himself in the last year and a half,” TomDeLay said. “Trashing her is waking up the sleeping giant, and the sleeping giant is Republican women.”

Spoke to Hugh Hewitt on radio row. He’s getting deluged with phone calls from women listeners, all saying that they’re appalled by the attacks on Sarah Palin. One has already printed up a t-shirt that says, “I AM SARAH PALIN. HER STORY IS MY STORY. BACK OFF.”
Some enterprising printer ought to consider mass-producing that, I think:

The Q and O Blog is sending us to the following link because they are “Noting the hypocrisy, viscousness and vile nature of the attacks on Sarah Palin and her family and denouncing them”:
September 2nd, 2008. The 2008 Election ended this morning as a vast cadre of liberals, progressives, Democrats and like minded journalists lifted the white flag and surrendered.
We surrendered something a whole lot more valuable than our vote. We surrendered our principles. We surrendered our core values.
We surrendered all hope. We surrendered our shared dreams that our daughters would inherit a better world, a world of promise, equality, justice, fairness and honor.
We had dreamed of a world where our 17 years old daughters wouldn’t be striped naked and raped on the front page of the New York Times, above the fold.
We dreamed of a world where a candidate, man or woman, could run for the highest office in the land and not be “swiftboated” with sexual lies and slander so vicious, so cruel, so gross and destructive that they actually wither our very soul.
I actually believed we were better than that. I actually believed “swiftboating” was the sole property of Republicans. I actually believed we wanted to debate the issues. I actually believed we wanted the real change so eloquently promised by Senator Barack Obama. I actually believed we wanted a better world for our sons and our daughters.
Betsy is discussing the Trashing a conservative woman , while Patterico tells us Why the Press Claims, Falsely, that Sarah Palin Wasn’t Vetted: Because Unlike You, They Don’t Read Beldar, So They Got Surprised by the Pick. And They Don’t Like Being Surprised.

As I posted the other day, my wife is energized. Before she was lukewarm on this election, as I was. Now she’s excited.
The selection of Sarah Palin, plus the degenerate attempt by the Sewer Rats to attack her, has indeed had an effect. It has energized the base more than any time since Reagan.

I’ve never been one to be vocal about womens issues. I guess I was raised differently from many women and never really had an issue with gender discrimination when I did work. After realizing that it’s all about the abortion, I’ve decided to start speaking up…SFL can be thanked for that because he really ticked me off the other night when he made it sound like democratic women were only concerned about abortion, therefore they would never swich parties.

My wife has always been very traditional about that too. She never had any use for NOW, or the feminists. But she is proud that a woman is finally poised to get in the White House in an Executive role, and even more so because this woman is a genuine achiever and not some conniving shrew. She despises Hillary because she sees Hillary as just another manipulator and schemer who got where she is at by burying her shame and putting up with degenerate Bill just to ride his coattails into the National spotlight.
