MTV piles on the Palin family; host Russell Brand promotes Obama, bashes America, Bush, and Christians; viewer backlash; transcript added

See Michelle Malkin for all the disgusting details.  From calling someone a retard to promoting Viacom’s candidate, it was a disgusting night.  To all of you 37 years or older:  Remember when MTV was good clean fun?  They put out music videos and added a little commentary on the side?  Yep, me too.  Now look at it!

I am 37 years old and know exactly what you mean about MTV. I remember watching back in 1981 when it debuted. No news, no commentary, just wall to wall videos in an era when music was vastly superior to the talentless crap that is prevalent today. Jumping ahead to my highschool days in 1987, MTV gradually had added certain things like news updates and a quirky game show (remember Remote Control?), but it was still first and foremost a music video channel.

But for at least the past ten years, MTV has served as nothing more than a carrier of vapid teenage reality shows, and general cultural rot. The very name of the network is a lie. It has nothing to do with music anymore, and everything to do with the kind of juvenile idiocy that this talentless, dimwitted, left wing, morally bankrupt, British Tiny Tim lookalike embodied on this disgraceful program. Kudos to Jordin Sparks for firing back at this useless piece of garbage. As for “music television”, it passed on years ago. RIP, and please boycott this network in order to give it a timely burial.

I would never bother wasting my day watching MTV I have always heard its trash. This is to be expected, the morals in the USA have declined for a long, long time, but the speed of that decline really started picking up speed in the early 1960’s. Liberalism has done so much to speed up this deline and decay. We should expect no more from those sunk into immorality then what you see.

Hate for Christians is to be expected, you probably would’nt see MTV demeaning Islam, or Communism now will we?

**==**== How many years will this flag be allowed to be displayed?

Nice comment on how you “decide” things, lb. You have “heard” that MTV is “trash?” Why not exercise some initiative, take a look, and make up your own mind. Oh, that doesn’t go with the “base’s” modus operandi of merely doing as told. Your loss.
