I’m not a fan of tv adds that attack the opponent, and as such I think both candidates should refrain from making such adds. The reality however is that in current US politics you need to use such tools to win, and if you’re going to do it I would hope you at least make your attacks on actual shortcomings in your opponents policies/qualifications.

The question is then is this about McCains qualifications or his personality ? And I guess the answer is a bit of both. What suit he used to wear obviously has nothing to do with how well he will do as a president, but his knowledge of technology could be relevant since he will no doubt come across bills relating to internet legislation/survailance, or briefs on counter-terrorism activities on the web, and in such cases he will need some knowledge on the subject in order to be able to make the correct decisions.

A friend and fellow Vietnam Veteran once told me, “For those who have not seen, no explanation is possible. For those who have seen, no explanation is necessary”. For many things in life this is true. We all have our story to share. It’s whether we choose to share it or not that counts.

McCain story is a study in courage, this was well highlighted at the convention by Fred Thomson.

The Obama campaign is just the dust on the Admiral’s shoes. They can’t hurt him they won’t influence our vote but will make more of us want to defeat the Party of Defeat, the democrats who hate this country and what all the veterans stand for.

so what if mccain doesn’t know how to e-mail? if he wins as president, i am sure he will have assistants to filter information from the internet and open, print and send emails for him… EMAIL IS NOT AN ISSUE, BARACK. TELL YOUR GENIUS PEOPLE THAT.

by the way, i know that the obama campaign was referring to ‘times are different, things have changed, america needs a new kind of leader’. i got the message, but really, the presentation was just disgusting. and that turned me off to your message. hitting low is old tactics. not really fitting for a ‘new kind of leader’….
