It's hard to know who your friends are in the digital age, but the attack on Governor Sarah Palin's privacy is inexcusable. There's much taunting and gloating about Ms. Palin's apparent technological naiveté. Indeed, Ms. E-mail may never be our friend. Mr. Cell phone is definitely not our friend: whenever one's cell phone is switched on, just turned on, even if it's not a GPS enabled device, it emits a signal that anyone who obtains your SIM card number may track with an array of inexpensive software. GOOGLE GPS tracking devices. The phone's speaker may also be remotely activated for use as a listening device. A bad guy might also find it cheaper and easier to affix a GPS device to one's vehicle, in which case Mr. Automobile is no longer our friend. Emerging technologies lend an unprecedented level of sophistication. And, as Al Gore might observe, there appears to be no controlling legal authority. We'll see what the voter has to say. Suggest: remove cell phone battery when not in use:
http://theseedsof9-11.com

There is currently absolutely no proof that David Kernell is behind it. If they had proof, he'd be arrested already.

The truth is that the website where the "confession" was posted doesn't check or verify emails. You can put in a fake email, or you could even put in someone else's. The email field doesn't matter, except that other people can see it.

I have the nagging notion that there's a possibility that whoever wrote the "confession" (who may just be a prankster, not even the person who did it) may not be the kid and that they just used his email to stir up controversy.

I have no political bias, I'm just familiar with how these folks work. Anon loves goose chases and controversy. It's amusing to them.
