Oh Look: Voter Fraud In Ohio Thanks To Democrats

If Ohio polling looks like Chicago, ‘thank’ Brunner
Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner has a reputation as the most partisan state official in Ohio. And she works hard to earn it. The Democrat’s latest stunt rejected absentee ballots for thousands of Republicans.
But it’s not her first rodeo. Almost as soon as Brunner was elected in 2006, she tried to remove several Republican county elections officials, including Ohio Republican Party Chairman Robert Bennett. They accused her of “storm trooper tactics” to silence critics.
Then Brunner spread an alarm that Ohio’s electronic voting machines were vulnerable to tampering – a favorite claim of the paranoid left. Elections officials who participated in Brunner’s study called her conclusions over-hyped “leaps in logic” and said, “The report itself could be viewed as an attack on the elections system : (that) planted seeds in the mind of the public to mistrust those who oversee elections.”
Brunner also demanded an overhaul of voting methods just before the March primaries, causing meltdowns in some precincts.
And now she’s hassling Republicans who want to vote for John McCain:

What a badly written article! It says nothing about the research which shows that there are serious error rates with electronic votes (30% !!!) which is huge considering 40% of the country voted electronically in 2006. That’s not even mentioning that Walden O’Dell, the President of Diebold wrote in 2003 that he wanted to “Personally guarantee the electoral votes of Ohio.”
There are real problems with electronic voting (read bradsblog.com) and the fact that we no longer have a real Democracy where votes matter — the machines (programmed by folks like O’Dell) do.

That was a low blow, Robert. You have entire countries that value their democracy so much that they are all electronically voting. Australia being one. NY State just banned the use only closed source software as it wasn’t to be trusted. The Diebold chairman’s comments not withstanding, this is the only way to ake sure this doesn’t happen again like 2000.

It’s a travesty that people like jennifer Brunner are allowed to hold public office. Our entire democracy depends on fair elections. Voter fraud should be vigorously prosecuted by the authorities, with automatic jail time for offenders … and that includes voter fraud perpetrated by high ranking officials as well. Perhaps if stiff jail sentences were imposed, organizations like Acorn would think twice about defrauding the system, and defrauding the American people. This issue once again shows how important trust is … and, that’s why I would rather trust a man who would not sell out his fellow prisoners, even during 5 years of torture, than to trust a man who betrayed a 20 year friendship, for personal ambition.
