Joe Biden’s View, from the Floor

BYRON YORK: Team Obama tries to understand her performance. Sarah Palin, the Winner by a Wink

THE EDITORS: Gov. Sarah Palin, once again, confounded her critics with a strong performance. Palin’s Triumph

Then there’s this from the Western Standard:

Biden is telling absurd lies about Afghanistan tonight.  In particular, he’s repeatedly claimed that “we’ve spent less in Afghanistan in seven years than we spend in a month in Iraq.”

He’s made that claim, or claims to that effect, repeatedly.  It is, to put it bluntly, a complete Goddamned lie.

According to the Congressional Research Service, spending on the war in Afghanistan since 2001 has been $172 Billion.  Spending in Iraq is, as the Democrats repeatedly mention, a little under $10 Billion a month.

In other words, Biden’s number is off by, oh, something like 2000%.  Perhaps Obama’s Sub-Committee ought to have held some hearings on Afghanistan after all.

Can This Be True?

It comes as a surprise to us in Delaware that Joe Biden recently had a meal and talked with patrons at “Katie’s Restaurant” on Union Street in Wilmington.

Katie’s Restaurant closed years ago.  It was on Scott Street in Little Italy, not on Union Street.  To the best of my recollection, it closed in 1990 or thereabouts.

Now tell me, who is it that “doesn’t get it” and “is out of touch?”

Can you imagine if McCain or Palin had said something equally stupid?

UPDATE: And from a DE site.

I caught that too, when Biden stridently said (and repeated) that we spend more in 3 weeks in Iraq than the entire cost of the Afghanistan effort. I thought how is that possible, that is absurd. Granholm prepped Biden? Sounds like twisted Liberal mentally-ill math was used…

After reading these articles and links, the Biden gaffe count is mounting. You add that all up, and Hurricane Sarah won handily. She may just have showed she is more qualified for POTUS than Obama.

What was her ummm and uhhh count compared to Obama’s? She wins handily there too, by a landslide…
