When Obama opened by stating the financial crisis, is George Bush’s fault, that was so pathetically stupid. It was a meaningless, empty, cliched Democrite talking point. It is wrong, and George Bush isn’t running for POTUS.
I think the reason McCain didn’t respond to that is because he didn’t want to be seen as defending Bush, which could perhaps be seen as tying himself to Bush.
So Obama’s absurd statement stood on its own.

McCain needs to take off the gloves and get in the fight or he should’ve stayed out of it in the first place. Except for Sarah Palin, McCain has been little but a panderer to the left trying to prove his solid hold on the middle ground. At the rate he’s headed, He’s going to LOSE and it’ll be his fault when Obama Screws this country up worse than Jimma Carta. Depending on how fast Obama gets his home grown gestapo put together, there could be a revolution in this country when people realize how he intends to destroy the civil rights of the population in the name of unity and fairness. It’ll be unity alright. The vast majority of us will be broke, homeless and standing in the soup lines for food. Those that aren’t out robbing anyone and everyone in sight.

I can’t believe that most americans believe this fiasco is the republicans fault. What is wrong with america when they refuse to see the truth? It has been all over the news, even Bill said it was the democrats. One piece of legislation ties it all in and that is the Community Reinvestment Act.
Wise up folks!

Like I’ve said, there’s no real right-wing candidate in this election. The right, ruled by fear after 9/11, let the govt grow, erode civil rights, etc. When someone with genuinely paleo-conservative beliefs like Ron Paul appeared in the primaries, the right refused to hear him.
Now, the best that you can hope for is a slight swing to the left, when McCain seves up some McAmnesty. But, polls are now saying that Obama won debate #2 by a fairly sizable margin. This could be the nail in the coffin.
I find the whole thing pretty funny…

I’m waiting for the Obama debate #2 lie and gaffe list. Here’s two gaffes:
1. Obama said computers were invented when some army researchers needed to and figured out a way to communicate.
No, IDIOT, you are thinking of the Internet, doofus.
2. When he said he was for nuclear power, but then said how do you store the “Nuclear energy”?
You mean “nuclear waste”, don’t you doofus, and anyone that is so ignorant they don’t even know that there is reprocessing technology and waste is now a non-issue does not deserve to be POTUS.
“Won” the debate? How could that be possible when someone is so utterly ignorant about the energy, arguably the single most important issue of our time, and displays it for all to see?
October 8, 2008 - 01:41 PM on October 8th, 2008
I personally didn’t see a clear winner, but this was the response of those polled. McCain was apparently trying to seem “nice” by beginning and ending every sentence with “my friends,” but I guess that it didn’t help.
It looks like the senate races are going to be more of the same: http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-08-17-senate-campaign_N.htm
Like I’ve said, with McCain or with Obama, we’re moving to the left. I’m just having fun watching it wind down.
Come election day, I look forward to receiving a full report from the Right Voices crowd as you collectively vote for amnesty.

The “my friends” statement was making me crazy.
If Obama wins. and we don’t see many incumbents voted out of Congress, then I’ll have to consider stopping caring about the future of this Country. If voters don’t shake up Congress then they want to commit National suicide.
October 8, 2008 - 04:46 PM on October 8th, 2008
I don’t really see a big congress shake up coming, though I could certainly be wrong. It’s too hard for me to follow all of the state contests. I also haven’t seen too many recent polls — the USA Today thing that I linked to is already (I think) about 2 months old.
I know that congress’ approval ratings are horrendously low, but there’s some sort of disconnect in voters’ minds between hating congress as a whole and hating one’s own congressman. I’m struggling to come up with a better analogy than “no one thinks that his own shit stinks….”
October 8, 2008 - 07:47 PM on October 8th, 2008
I would like to dump both our Senators and most of our House members. Pelosi needs to be hauled away in a straight jacket or handcuffs. Either works for me.
This is just a WAG set of numbers, but I’d estimate:
1. 10% of Congress are hate-America, degenerate vermin.
2. 35% of Congress are corrupt criminals who don’t know what is happening on Main St. and don’t really care.
3. 40% of Congress are partisans and hacks who have never held a real job or responsibility; they came up through the political process and politics is the only thing they know. They are useless.
4. 15% of Congress are genuinely good Representatives who would like to and try to do the right thing.

I am suprised that Reid and Pelosi are still alive !
