Obama, Dems proposing billions in new spending

By: Pam On: Oct/24/08 - 7 Comments

Wow, where is all the money going to come from for this

:

  • Tax relief for trial lawyers — $1.5 billion worth over a decade by changing rules  to encourage more and riskier “jackpot justice” lawsuits. (Section 311 of H.R. 6049.)
  • Obama’s own proposed Global Poverty Act that would require the United States to spend its own money working at “eradicating extreme hunger, promoting gender equality, empowering women: ensuring environmental sustainability:[and] achieving significant improvement in the lives of at least 100 million slum dwellers” worldwide. Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy did the math and concluded this would amount to a new commitment of $845 billion in new foreign aid through 2015. (S.2433)
  • New federal subsidies to buy gas for families making up to three times the federal poverty line, which would be $63,600 in annual income for a family of four. (H.R. 6561)
  • Wage insurance. Create a new federal payroll tax on all workers to pay for “insurance” that would – get this – pay people up to 50 percent of the difference in wages between an old job and a new, lower-paying job. So if John Doe voluntarily takes a new job that requires 10 hours less work per week, the government would pay him for five of the hours that he doesn’t work – courtesy of other, harder-working wage earners.
  • A new, Cabinet-level, multi-billion-dollar federal Department of Peace, dedicated to “peace education and training.” (H.R. 808)

Maybe Snowy will tell us someday.

Not once in all this campaigning, even when faced with the question head on, has Obama the messiah said he would CUT spending. Au contraire, he will increase it. But the fools who listen to his rhetoric with starry eyes don’t seem to understand that the money will come from their pockets.

I don’t see any of the “Change” that Obama really stands for as being positive.

Agreed Robert. In fact I would say that all the change will end up being very bad. Add to that the fact that if that were to happen the libbies would just blame Bush. Democrats and particularly liberals never, EVER take responsibility for their failures.

Here are my predictions if Obama wins:

You will see an almost immediate change in MSM reporting. It won’t be Nirvana right away, but the endless doom and gloom will stop. When a problem does come to the forefront, it will be blamed on Bush as a legacy of his policies. But Obama will be working on it to fix it, and the stories will always have that positive spin. Anything that goes well will be assigned to Obama for credit, whether in any way it is so or it is due to Bush or some other reason. Won’t matter. Obama will be given all the credit.

Just because the MSM stops the incessant negativity, the incessant blame of the President, it will have the effect of giving the masses the perception that things are better because of Obama. When in fact they won’t or the opposite will be true. But idiots, who are unable to think for themselves, will buy into it.

Mark my words now. This is my prediction.

    Right on the mark Robert,
The left tends to have a convenient memory when it comes to who did what and when. Besides, with “Acorns” two thirds fraudulent and or multiple registrants, its no wonder that the odds are in Obama’s favor. Why don’t we all push more for electronic fingerprinting. This the only foolproof way to eliminate the majority of voter fraud. I know; there are those who believe that this method is also prone to mistakes. I say bull—-. This type of identification is used by the “CIA” , “FBI”, Real Estate Boards, Law Enforcement and the list goes on. They don’t seem to have a problem connecting your unique fingerprint pattern to your name ,address ,telephone number, drivers license or social security number. This would be very easy to impliment. Everyone showing up to vote has to have their finger scanned, big deal. It not like they are being treated like crooks; although I’m sure many of the “Left” know exactly what to do.
