We do not need “change” that takes us back to stagflation or a depression.  We need to make capital work, which requires a lowering of risk and an easing of burdens, not a multiplication of both.  Democrats seem determined to turn a harsh correction after a bubble into a global economic crash, and Barack Obama wants to lead the way to it.

    I watched Fred Thompson’s entire speech. What I saw was pretty much similar to what I’ve heard from other Republicans.

    I really can’t believe it. It’s not a message that will get Senator McCain elected. It’s really very sad. It’s a message of fear. It’s not the message that got Governor Reagan elected. The Republican Party is it’s own worst enemy at this point.

    The Republican party has become pathetic. It’s sad to me that you Republicans can’t see it.

    But, the Democrats are going to screw this win up: so eventually you Republicans will get your shit together and make a come back: It’s the American way:

We are cannibalizing races that we must win and probably can win in order to help a national campaign that is almost certainly lost. In these final 10 days, our goal should be: senators first.”

    If Fred would have added more of his self with his first rate policies, we very well could have seen him debating Obama.

    Fred is up to something. I don’t know if it is a run for Gov. of Tennessee or perhaps another run at the White House, but he is indeed up to something. I was happy to support him and only wish he would have gotten going sooner during the primaries.
