Is it possible to “leak” that someone’s a fugitive?

Mark correctly points out:

When regular boring US citizens are fugitives, they get pasted up on Post Office walls and written up in the papers. And, in the event that someone discovers that the guy on the lam is holed up at 27b Elm Street, there’s not usually a wave of outrage on the appalling breach of the fugitive’s privacy rights.

As I told you would happen, Democrat Rep. John Conyers has already called for a federal investigation. and look at the WaPo:  Disclosure About Obama’s Aunt May Have Violated Privacy Policy

Different Party, Different Rules, The Politico is on the case!  Gee, if only they cared this deeply about an actual citizen of this country!

You have to wonder what Joe the Plumber thinks of all of this. Records kept by government agencies involving his divorce, taxes, car, and all the rest were leaked to the media within hours of his accidental meeting with the Messiah. Other than the Columbus Dispatch, nobody seems to care. And he’s actually an American citizen.
Now, you can be absolutely sure that if Obama’s aunt was, say, related to Sarah Palin, no one would care how the story became public. Instead, Palin would be bombarded with questions about her.
Is it any wonder:
The Washington Post Co. said Friday its third-quarter profit tumbled 86 percent, hurt by reduced revenue at its namesake newspaper and an accounting charge that reflects the declining value of its smaller papers.  The Washington-based company, whose properties also include Newsweek magazine and the Kaplan academic testing service, said earnings slid to $10.1 million, or $1.08 per share, from $72.2 million, or $7.60 per share, in the year-ago quarter.
Or as Rush pointed out, Story #2: Earnings Plummet for Papers Endorsing Obama

RUSH: Remember all these newspapers, many newspapers that have endorsed Obama are seeing their earnings plummet. Layoffs are exceeding the national average by a gazillion percent.  The Washington Post’s earnings are down 86%.  The New York Times has been rated “junk” by Standard & Poor’s.  The Los Angeles Times is headed in the same direction.  It refuses to report the news.  Good riddance to the Drive-By, propaganda-driven media.  Newspapers endorsing Obama: Earnings plummet.

Michelle:

The MSM abhor anonymous leaks ” unless they’re helping to undermine Bush administration anti-terrorism programs or conservative causes and candidates.

Laughably, the Obama cultists suspect that Bush administration officials are in cahoots with the McCain campaign and the Associated Press.

These people have reading comprehension and reality comprehension problems. It’s the Bush administration that has moved to protect Aunti Zeituni. It’s the pro-shamnesty Bush administration that will ensure that nothing happens to her. Pro-shamnesty McCain isn’t going to touch the story. McCain adviser Mark Salter told WaPo that it’s a “family matter.”
