You should have had an “either” on there. Frankly I would be happy to see either Michael Steele or Newt get the chairmanship. After the fiasco of this last campaign it’s pretty clear the RNC needs some real leadership. Both of these gentlemen could provide that.

Though I voted for Newt, I would not be unhappy with Steele. I would like to see both of them in official leadership positions.

Steele, for sure. We need the kind of values that brought us prosperity, but we need new leadership to bring it about. I respect Newt, but it’s time for the next generation to shine!

Hi Doug. I agree. We need someone young, fresh, energetic. Steele is all that. It was also one of the things I liked about Sarah Palin. Of course I’m hoping she’ll come back in 2012 and be a star candidate, NOT a vp.

I want Steele to get the job. I like both men; however for a variety of reasons Steele is the man for the hour. Gingrich was on Hannity and Colmes and he seemed to indicate that he is not seeking the job. So it is not going to be Gingrich anyways. Steele seems to be a great choice.

I vote for Steele. Gingrich is very intelligent and I agree with him most of the time. But he is part of the past. We need to move forward, and Steele is the future. I heard him interviewed on Hannity’s radio show today and Steele was right on target.
