SCROLL FOR UPDATES: UPDATED with GMA Interview…Ayers Confirms Obama Is A Liar: Yes, Obama And I Are “Family Friends”…Ayers “We Never Committed Terror”
Obama was lying to us when he dismissed Ayers as merely “a guy who lives in my neighborhood.” Axelrod and Mayor Daley had told us that, but Ayers is now publically speaking, after having his muzzle removed, and here is his belated confirmation.
“We had served together on the board of a foundation, knew one another as neighbors and family friends, held an initial fund-raiser at my house, where I’d made a small donation to his earliest political campaign,” he writes.
But right-wing commentators tried to use those connections to smear Obama, he says.
“Obama’s political rivals and enemies apparently saw an opportunity to deepen a dishonest narrative about him, that he is somehow un-American, alien, linked to radical ideas, a closet terrorist, a sympathizer with extremism,” Ayers wrote.
I am waiting to get some clips from his appearance on GMA this morning! Cuomo is supposed to ask him tough questions, so I will take that as a softball interview..We can’t have the truth getting in the way of The One! They didn’t take the time to vet this prior to the election, what makes you think they will do it now?
Here are the links to the video, click images to watch, and here is the related ABC News article, Chris Cuomo Grills ’60s Radical Bill Ayers
:
Their intentions were good, you see. Which, in fairness to Ayers, is indeed the crux of why so many leftists are angrier at Palin for bringing him up on the trail than at Obama for gladhanding him in the first place. The Underground meant well, quite unlike those nasty jihadis and abortion-clinic bombers, whom Cuomo, to his credit, does bring up. The quote, incidentally, comes from Timothy Noah’s 2001 review of the book, which is worth reading for many reasons but foremost for his reclamation of a few Ayers blasts from the past that somehow didn’t end up in the final manuscript. Like this one, circa 1970: “Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that’s where it’s really at.” Thirty-one years later, he famously told the Times, “I don’t regret setting bombs.” The man is, if nothing else, consistent. Bear those two lines in mind as you watch him wheeze about how “dishonest” it is for people to try to demonize him and his old comrades.
Ayers on GMA: Putting the “unrepentant” in “unrepentant terrorist”
Ayers adamantly denied that the Weather Underground engaged in terrorism because it didn’t “target people to kill and injure them.” Oh, yeah? Tell it to the families of Waverly Brown, Edward O’Grady, and Peter Paige.
I suggested yesterday on Fox that those families should be offered equal time to rebut Ayers’ self-whitewashing.
Here is equal time:
Protein Wisdom, “Honestly, I don’t know what’s most galling about this: Ayers’ weaselly attempt to walk back his well-publicized and constant “regret” that he hadn’t “done more” as a member of the Weather Underground; or Obama’s having once again lied to the American public about the extent of his relationship with a radical domestic terrorist …”
Macsmind, “lying sack of Ox Crap.”
Hot Air, “Has anyone queried The One on what sorts of crimes one would have to commit to lose their coveted ‘family friend’ status?”
Malkin, “Weather Underground bomber Bill Ayers is a busy bee. The violence-embracing Marxist is on the lecture and media circuit, hawking his repackaged memoir, promoting a new book on race, and basking in all the post-Obama victory attention.”
RedState, “Barack Obama is a degenerate liar. Not one single Republican should trust him.”
Flopping Aces, “What the heck do I and 47% of the US population who did not fall under the Obama spell know?”
Tim Blair, “Meanwhile, an accused terrorist tries the Ayers defence (”I killed no one, and I harmed no one”) in the UK.”
Gateway, “Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright made a joint appearance at Northwestern University on Friday.”

Your crazy and a liar. This is not what happened in the interview at all. Enjoy your time on the rightside of hell. It is really sad that you use your voice for genuine dishonesty
November 14, 2008 - 02:54 PM on November 14th, 2008
You should be ashamed of yourself for distorting what the man said. I saw the interview. People like you will keep the world divided. Give it up! Obama is now President-elect. I bet you are a secret member of the KKK or hate other races! Ayers reminds me of Paul (Saul) in the Bible. I am so glad man did not make me because he would keep me under his poor judgment forever.
November 14, 2008 - 03:18 PM on November 14th, 2008
Why do you write when you certainly can’t read?
Bill Ayers, in the new forward of his book was saying the BLOGOSPHERE characterized his relationship with Obama as being “family friends”.
HE DID NOT SAY they were family friends. Good lord.
November 14, 2008 - 03:27 PM on November 14th, 2008
Are you all crazy? Listen, more than once and you will hear what was REALLY said. No one lied here, you all hear what you want to hear….it is pathetic and the exact reason the country is in the mess we are. Always stirring the pot, always looking for trouble. The fact is they knew each other professionally – just like McCain knew Liddy. Why don’t we question him the same way?

What’s the matter with you right-wing, silver-spoons in mouths, self-serving, “I got mine, you get yours” ; we care about people…only if they’re WHITE PEOPLE; ideologues don’t like losing???? Or you’re just not used to being on the short end of the stick?!!? Well, ya got four years to figure it out; and God willing 8 years; in which time President OBAMA and a Democratically controlled Senate and Congress will try to “sea change”, ameliorate and improve the economy, world prestige and global conflict strategies YOUR President (selection) Geo W Bush, JUNIOR left us with…..thanks mr. president!!!!!!
What a guy!!!! Enjoy your trip back to Texas…and none too soon, either!!!

Actually – he says the opposite. And here Ayers is saying it:

The American PEOPLE have spoken: in a clear and almost unified voice. The republicans LOSE!!!! No buying the election this time and no last minute f*ck ups in Florida either! As a matter of fact Florida was turned BLUE!!!! As were a few other states
You guys lost because your ideas are dated, your party is dated.
You represent white people (many of whom would love to return to the America of the 1850’s if you listen to them) only or mostly (or at least thats the perception); as was stated by your candidate John McCain! He’s a good man and I have much respect for him. At least he can face the truth…as should all of you, as you look for answers and direction…. YOU GUYS LOST, GET OVER IT!!!
Oh by the way, the America of the 1850’s was a great place to be if you were WHITE, by the by. Even America of the 1950’s was not a great place to be for African-Americans, like myself or other minorities; …even to present day America! And Barack Obama’s election doesn’t change all of the history before that either!
Many of your right-wing fanatical radio personalities will say it should but this country has just taken one step down the path toward “Ethnic Enlightenment”! Keep those same old ideas, those same old thoughts and if the RNC continues to be as non-inclusive as it has been in the past, your party will be delegated to the dustbin of history. And that would be ashame, you are the party of Lincoln!

You all are a bunch of haterz. Obama was 8 years old when Ayers did his thing. I don’t see yall harping on the university for hiring him. And the mayor of the city is behind Ayers. So you all that are still hating because there is an intelligent and competent man in the highest office ( for a CHANGE) get over it.
November 14, 2008 - 04:04 PM on November 14th, 2008
ok I don’t know what interview you were listnening too, but the ONE I heard was the GMA interview. Ayers CLEARLY stated that he and President-Elect Obama ARE NOT personal friends and that along with his home being used for a political meeting, several other homes were also used in the neighborhood as well. He stated that he knows Obama no better that THOUSANDS of others who has worked on boards with him.
November 14, 2008 - 04:14 PM on November 14th, 2008
Don’t you have anything better to peddle than this? My god, our current president started a WAR based on lies, tens of thousands died. Where is the outrage over that?
November 14, 2008 - 04:18 PM on November 14th, 2008
Here is the full quote including the part that the righwing bloggers conveniently left out:
“In 2008 there was a lot of CHATTER ON THE BLOGOSPHERE about my relationship with Barack Obama: we had served together on the board of a foundation, knew one another as neighbors and family friends, held an initial fundraiser at my house, where I’d made a small donation to his earliest political campaign.”
Bill Ayers was clearly stating that the blogosphere was saying these things about his relationship to Obama. HE DID NOT say that he was family friends with Obama.
I swear.. the comprehension of you people is as bad as Sarah Palin and the 1st amendment.
November 14, 2008 - 04:22 PM on November 14th, 2008
Hmmm – I don’t know why I’m getting replies from everyone in my email (if that’s just how it works here, once you comment you get everyone’s replies) but just to be clear (because I think I might have been misunderstood), the link I left was for the interview with Ayers on CBS, where he clearly states that he and Obama are NOT close, family friends.

WOW! You are so blind by who you LISTEN TO that you cannot even see the truth when it is shoved down your throat. GET A GRIP… If you stupid Republicants don’t get rid of the hatemongering and division that your party espouses, you will perish in the wind as a leaf in fall. Obama won by well over a 50% margin… That is what you call a MANDATE. Can’t handle being in the minority? Bring your party into the new millenium. But you better hurry and catch up, us progressives are not gonna wait for you. Jackasses.
November 14, 2008 - 04:29 PM on November 14th, 2008
I heard the Democracy Now! broadcast, and it’s quite clear that Ayers and Obama hardly know each other. If the initial post was honest, readers would see that Ayers was characterizing the blogosphere’s depiction of the Ayers-Obama relationship as close. The full quote is – “In 2008 there was a lot of chatter on the blogosphere about my relationship with Barack Obama: we had served together on the board of a foundation, knew one another as neighbors and family friends, held an initial fundraiser at my house, where I’d made a small donation to his earliest political campaign.” What is most sad about this headline and post is that some so-called “conservatives” want to keep on selling deception and deceit as some kind of right-wing “politically correct” reality. You really WANT to believe that Ayers is teaching Obama how to build bombs and take down the Sears Tower, but that seriously distorts the history of the Weather Underground and is a flat-out lie regarding Ayers’ relationship with Obama. If the right wants to have a serious place in the discussion, it needs to start with facts. If only America actually had real conservatives… and not just fascists posing as conservatives.

You are all so sad… watch the whole interview,it’s called dropping names so your book sells and wanting to look like you know someone important.I wish hate would disappear.Soo sad.
Get over it and try to help the country move forward! We are in a crisis!
Oh, and if his (according to the republicans)socialistic views benefit you ,you should refused it and put it back in the system, gosh, darn it!
Have a good life all.
Thank God for Barack Obama!

Goodness you people lie. If you’re going to say something, at least let it be the proof. Ayers said, We are NOT friends. We served on the same board together. You people sure can lie.
November 14, 2008 - 05:00 PM on November 14th, 2008
I’ll leave it to others to decide if the far right is wholly irrelevant, but when their entire blogosphere is devoted to spreading lies about what Ayers actually said and focusing on an issue that utterly failed to shift the election… well, I guess America already has decided. At least they are single-minded in their shrill lies, even if they have nothing of value to offer this country.
November 14, 2008 - 05:28 PM on November 14th, 2008
Ayers is probably related to Nobama if they dig deep enough im sure they would find something. I see a resemblance. No wait….Nobama is a zebra since his mamma slept with a gorilla, no wonder she is dead. All that gorilla juice.

Take a look at the economic data. Its going down! Once Master Obama is in office he will have the option of imposing his Marxist agenda of increasing the tax penalty on capital and remuneration, and on federal tax returns, for everyone, once the current tax schene is repealed, bringing on a grand depression; or he will have to reterench on everything he has advocated, in which case he is shown to be without a clue or clueless– the true picture of the man.
November 14, 2008 - 06:21 PM on November 14th, 2008
We have the babbling buffoon of the day! Douglas:
“Obama won by well over a 50% margin…That is what you call a MANDATE. ”
No, I would NOT call the vote a mandate…only an idiot would.

@Jupiter
You are a sick, sick, sick individual. You disgust me. You are everything that is wrong about this country, and it is my sincere wish that you, and everyone else like you who espouse nothing more than hateful, completely idiotic rhetoric would just piss off and die. You do not deserve to breathe the same air as the rest of us humans do. I would suggest that you get some help, but by your wasted words I can tell that there is no help for you. You should be asamed of yourself, and it is no wonder you would choose a screenname like “Jupiter” because you are obviously too ashamed to use your real name. I despise people like you. Grow up. No, wait… How about you just disappear. Friggin’ racist pig…. You are an embarrassment to the rest of humanity.
November 14, 2008 - 06:31 PM on November 14th, 2008
All it takes is one person to say something is true and the rest of the idiots will fall in line. One person use the word Marxist and the rest jump on bard. Do any of you knuckleheads think or do any of your own research.
November 14, 2008 - 06:35 PM on November 14th, 2008
It’s Over, he won, learn to live with it, pray that your new President make the right decisions for our country. If you’re hoping he fail, not sure what kind of American would hope their President fail, well maybe someone that’s afraid of change and want things to go back to the way they use to be.
November 14, 2008 - 06:35 PM on November 14th, 2008
Obama is friends with Ayers?! So what!!?? Are you kidding, that’s our biggest concern. A black man who is friends with a guy who was a vandal? Most U.S. presidents have been friends with mass murderers. Ayers never killed a person in his life, he attacked buildings while they were closed. I can name many many senators and governors who have been at the same functions with members from the Weather Underground. The weather underground members dissolved about 30 years ago. Our economy is shit and this is our worry? It’s laughable..
November 14, 2008 - 06:35 PM on November 14th, 2008
@Robert
But I suppose gwb’s STOLEN elections were a mandate, right. Get a grip. A 50% OR LARGER margin of victory is ALWAYS considered a MANDATE. Look up the meaning somewhere before you show your lack of intelligence. Until then, feel free to make yourself look like a typical republicant ass by attacking those with whom you do not agree. Debate intelligently, or… oh, wait…. Sorry, I forgot you neocon right wing republicants Can’t do that… You have to rely on fearmongering, hatemongering, and threats and lies. You lost, and lost BIG. It IS a MANDATE for CHANGE… And it will happen.
And to address your “army of one” logo as your avatar… sorry that your illegitimate “commander in chief” lied to you all and sent you into a war for oil. I am truly sorry for that. I respect ALL service men/women, but you, as well as the American public were duped. Put our resources in Afghanistan where they belong, not in Iraq, where they do not.
November 14, 2008 - 06:39 PM on November 14th, 2008
P.S. @ Robert
Is it NOT a mandate because you republicans were unable to steal it again this time?
See, that’s exactly what MAKES it a mandate… the republicans were unable to steal this election because the American public was not going to allow that to happen again. That’s why the VOTER turnout was so high. America KNEW how important this election was, and they responded… In force.
November 14, 2008 - 06:55 PM on November 14th, 2008

I see the red state douche bags are STILL getting their facts mixed up. You people need to stop watching The Fixed News. Keep buying your guns and ammo. Although Obama said he wasn’t taking anybody’s gun away, you paranoid tools are stocking up for a war. Keep watching the movie Red Dawn…losers.
Ayers said he’s not a friend of Obama, but you can’t reason with morons. Keep thinking what you want to McBush supporters……we kicked your ass this election, and we’ll do it again in 2012.
November 14, 2008 - 07:31 PM on November 14th, 2008
Yes, Jebus, I am sure you can…Clinton pardoned one of them..start from there
November 14, 2008 - 07:32 PM on November 14th, 2008
Wow…It’s not only republicans lashing out making nasty hateful comments…or is only wrong when that happens? The democrats are just as nasty but it’s considered ok ??? In all fairness Lincoln was a republican and he abolished slavery if history serves me correctly. It’s no more right for any of you to lash out and be nasty as it is the ones you’re saying are wrong for doing the same thing. So in reality Obama winning the election has brought no change at all. As far as GWB….congress and senate control this country, he can only do what they allow him to do. The democrats have done no more for this country in the last 2 years than was done before they got control. You so freely say GWB lied….if you think BO hasn’t lied….your head is stuck in the sand.

November 14, 2008 - 07:37 PM on November 14th, 2008
There was no mandate, the “American People” didn’t vote for Obama en masse, 3% more voted for Obama, who won 52/46. Had that 3% voted for McCain, he would have won by the same margin, as anyone capable of accepting and admitting a truth or doing simple math will agree. That’s 3 people out of a hundred, many of whom were misguided by the demos and their press groupie/propagandists into believing that everything bad that happened in the last 8 years was the fault of the Republicans, which is not true. Let’s try to keep it in perspective. Possibly that 3% will build up an immunity to kool-aid or an aversion to BS, get jobs and learn what it’s like to pay taxes, or finally hold the democrats responsible again for what they do and don’t do in the next 2-4 years, I’ll hope so.
November 14, 2008 - 07:43 PM on November 14th, 2008

Dawn: The division began when the dummies and their groupies/propagandists in the media refused to accept that W. beat them in 2000 and again in 2004. Their outrageous behavior since 2000 started it, and their behavior during the campaign aggravated it. They’ve intentionally divided this country by race, atheists vs religion, gender, age, education, sexual orientation, patriotism, political philosophy, rural/urban, income, etc. You are wrong about where their heads are stuck, however, or perhaps you’re just being polite. They would happily destroy this country to get and keep control of it, and perhaps take it into socialism. May God prevent their success in that.

Lightnin: I was being polite.
November 14, 2008 - 07:54 PM on November 14th, 2008
Somebody inform Douglas of the facts. Voter turnout was NOT high, Republican turnout was down, apparently because some conservatives didn’t want to vote for Sen. McCain. Douglas, like many others, appears to consider facts his enemy.
November 14, 2008 - 08:08 PM on November 14th, 2008
These people who think Ayers is such a swell guy must like the nice things he said about Sirhan Sirhan in his recent book as well. None are so blind as those who will not see.
November 14, 2008 - 08:08 PM on November 14th, 2008
@ Lightnin… I respectfully point you to this website for final vote tallies
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/
there you will see that it was actually a 53%-46% spread. Where you come up with 3% is beyond me, as it seem to be a 7 point spread. So, even given your 3%, that would make the result the same (meaning winner/loser) by a thin 1% margin, at 50% to 49%.
If you do not consider a vote tally of 66,703,428 to 58,243,742 a mandate, kindly explain what is. That is over 8 MILLION more people who chose Obama. No small number, friend. Oh, and by the way, I AM a college student, and DO my own research. I also happen to be 40 years old and white. Don’t be a sore loser, it betrays your intelligence. If you want to find blame, look to your own republican party. BTW, 2000 and ‘04 WERE stolen elections, whether you chose to admit it or not… Where is Katherine Harris now? Reaping her reward for bowing to the mighty bush family. And, Ohio in ‘04? Look at the Oh. Numbers from
‘08. Why were the returns so high this election? Hmmmmm. I’ll borrow a phrase from gw himself… “fool me once, er… uh.. fool me.. uh… we won’t get fooled again.” Classic. Thank you Mr. President. Good God. He will not be gone soon enough.
November 14, 2008 - 08:13 PM on November 14th, 2008
A lot of the votes also were due to ill informed young people voting for the first time because they “wanted to be a part of history” I listened to a couple interviews where the person ask some of these young people who they were voting for and why. They responded BO because of his policies. The interviewer then ask if they agreed with his policy of…and gave McCain”s policy instead. They agreed several times with the policies stated, even though they were all McCains and thus were voting BO because they agreed with them. This is pretty sad when you think about it. They voted for someone simply because he would be making history as the first multi racial president. For the people who voted for that reason only…shame on you. America should mean more to you~
November 14, 2008 - 08:18 PM on November 14th, 2008
Isn’t this kind of warped misinformation the reason the Republicans tanked in this election? Come on America. Time to grow up.
November 14, 2008 - 08:21 PM on November 14th, 2008
Douglas: If splitting hairs makes you feel better, fine. So then it’s 3 1/2 percent, 3 & a HALF people out of a hundred, 1/28th of the population that, had they voted for McCain, would gave made HIM the winner by the same margin. The number of millions of votes cast does not change the percentage, and 3 1/2 percent is not a mandate. Perhaps you should read my post again, or have someone else read it and explain it to you.
November 14, 2008 - 08:21 PM on November 14th, 2008
Doug:
A couple of problems with your arguement, but maybe being in college will help educate you.
1. There was no record turnout in voters this year..the numbers are not there to back you up on that.
2. 2000 and 2004 were not stolen, the Republicans made sure of that!
November 14, 2008 - 08:23 PM on November 14th, 2008
Ok, let’s use common sense here. Compare those who knew the BK serial killer of Kansas. He was a church member and actually held a staff position at the church he belonged too. Does everyone that was associated with him have the same ideology that he did? But you say if someone did horrible dispicable things then everyone associated with him/her is as guilty right. The most of the individuals that are keeping the verbial pot stirred are those that attend church. i.e. the GOOD CHRISTIAN FOLKS of America. a.k.a the right wing. So if you whole heartedly stand behind what you are saying. Then you’re guilty of being a serial killer like the BK Killer of Kansas because he goes to church just like you. Sounds pretty stupid doesn’t it. People we must move past stupidity to achieve greatness as a country. Let’s face it America. It sounds pretty stupid because it is pretty stupid Common Sense..Just because you think something sounds great, doesn’t mean you should say it out loud, let aone write it out for others to see…
1. Those that worked with the serial killer had no idea that he was killing people, hence he was able to get away with it for so long..
2. Where do you come to the conclusion that those discussing the fact that Obama lied about his friendship with a domestic terrorist, are a majority of church goers..You obviously pulled that fact made up statistic, out of your ass.
3. Obama knew that William Ayers was the leader of the Weather Underground, a group of radicals that blew up federal buildings, hi-jacked armored trucks, and murdered people…He lied about their relationship..
November 14, 2008 - 08:34 PM on November 14th, 2008
Common Sense: So how come Obama seems to be attracted to so MANY like Wright, Phleger, Farrakhan, Rezko, Ayers, Dohrne, Khalidi, Asbahi, and the most extreme liberals and abortion extremists? He’s associated with them, not in SPITE of their extremism, but BECAUSE of it, and these aren’t “ships that pass in the night” associations, but long-term ones, and he’s never denounced ANY of them!

Pam & Dawn: We know there is no reasoning with some of these people, and that trying to convince them with facts would be a waste of time, but rebutting their statements may be of some value to other people, so we trudge on. We’ve lost a battle, sadly, the best man didn’t win this time, but our day will come again, as it always has, and decency, honor, and patriotism will return.
November 14, 2008 - 08:47 PM on November 14th, 2008
@ Pam, and Lightnin, I am man enough to admit when I am wrong, and I am indeed incorrect about record turnout this year. See below. As far as 2000, and 2004, (Pam) the elections were indeed stolen. 2000 gwb lost the popular vote and turned to the supreme Court to place him in office. that was thanks to Katherine Harris, who was in a position to ensure the gwb win, out of debt to Jeb bush, her boss. 2004 was taken in Ohio, where there are records of plenty of disenfranchisement, to the point that the results were swayed. You don’t have to admit it, I don’t expect you to. But facts are facts, period. As far as the namecalling and personal attacks on me are concerned… Well, this is a right-wing board after all… I had to expect it. Seems these days that’s all the republicans can do.
One last point, for Lightnin… in 2004, if you recall, gwb “won” by a 50-ish percent margin… Right? and at his inauguration, do you remember what he said? He said I have a mandate…. I have some political capital and I fully intend to spend it. So which is it, a mandate when the republicans get 50-ish percent, or when ANY candidate gets over 50% of the popular vote? Just because SOME Americans were lazy and chose to sit on their asses instead of trying to make a difference (one way or the other) does not diminish the message received. Sorry that ALL Americans didn’t vote, but you know what? I did. 53% of the population that CHOSE to vote, voted for Obama. To me, that’s a mandate. To over 8 million more Obama voters than McCain voters, it is a mandate. If Obama were a republican, it would be a mandate to you as well, I am sure. (Rephrase, I bet, rather than I am sure.)
By Brian C. Mooney Globe Staff / November 14, 2008
Turnout in last week’s election increased from four years ago but fell far short of some forecasts largely because many Republican voters either stayed home or left blank the presidential section of their ballots. In states won by President-elect Barack Obama, turnout was more than five percentage points higher than in states won by Republican John McCain, according to a Globe analysis of data compiled by a pair of researchers who study voting patterns in US elections.

First, of all people who are disagree with Obama as president, need to jump into a lake. People of all races chose him, even yours. Don’t get mad, stop hating and drinking HATERADE. For all the republicans who are crying because grandpappy didn’t win, your should be happy because when he transition you be stuck with dummy Palin. What worse? grandpappy or dummy Palin. Get over this with Ayers, it an non issue. Now smoke that in your pipes!!!!!

@ lightnin… Decency, Honor and Patriotism left this country 8 years ago… just ask the international community. You can hate barack Obama as much as you like, but the PRIDE of being an American will soon enough be restored. You will be welcome to experience the joy as well, THIS party and THIS President welcomes ALL Americans equally.
I just can’t get over how some of you can be led on like so many sheep to the slaughter. Are you really that stubborn? You have my sympathy… Truly.
Good night, and God bless you all.

Douglas: Perhaps GWB DID say he had a mandate, but I didn’t say so. Your whine about the 2000 election is wasted, both parties agreed to the Electoral College decision, as they did the Ohio vote, otherwise the demos lawyers would STILL have it in court, as they would if your Katherine Harris comment had merit. Perhaps you think they are too NICE to behave like that. You seem to be able to name-call and do personal attacks on Republicans and use common vulgarities. Regardless of your rephrasing, you inferred that we are hypocrites, intellectually dishonest, with no justification I’m aware of, which says nothing about us, but perhaps something about you. I’m sure you can decide for yourself what constitutes a mandate to you, as we can.

Let start with the matter of my visit to africa and my ebrupt notice of local kenyans disdain for african-americans,they told them they were still considered slaves, because the kenyans sold them to the white man,and that they refused to serve them in bars and other places. The democrats were in power in alabama/the U.S. when MLK was murdered, that same day all blacks holding a job with the city or govn. were ordered to stay on the other side of town. The next day city workers mowed and cut all bushes down on the hill that the sniper hid behind and removed all evidence. They say MLK was a republican.I guess thats why they got rid of him cause he said protect the innocent, which could be constued to mean unborn babies today.
November 14, 2008 - 09:21 PM on November 14th, 2008
Ah, and as a parting gift, Douglas has chosen to define people who don’t agree with his choice as haters and stupid. Oh and “stubborn” into the bargain. What, no “Racist” charge as well? Kind of makes me want to seek out his wisdom again in the future! Mohammed Atta was in this country, preparing for the 9/11 attack, 2 years before President Bush was elected or took office, during Clinton’s watch, when there hadn’t been a Republican President for 6 years.
November 14, 2008 - 09:35 PM on November 14th, 2008
I’m gonna bail, but first I want to dispute one more of ol’ Doug’s remarks, that “decency, honor and patriotism left this country 8 years ago”, they DIDN’T leave this COUNTRY, but they do appear to have left his party 8 years ago, and haven’t been seen again there since.
November 14, 2008 - 09:45 PM on November 14th, 2008
No Douglas, GWB followed the law..He won Florida, and even after the election was done and over with, the news media did their own recounts and guess who still won? yes, GWB…Had Gore been smart, he would have asked for a state wide recount, but he tried to be smart and banked on those 3 counties..His mistake, not GWB’s…The case made its way to the SCOTUS and that picture I posted says it all..That person has no business let alone capability of deciding a voters intent.. So, no, 2000 was not stolen.
You provide no proof of 2004, you just claim that it was..for the sake of time, if you are going to tell us about Ohio, think again and search the archives or come prepared to support a position that you just are not going to be able to do.
Lastly, what does the international community have to do with our “popularity”? Have you ever studied the subject? It is no better or worse than it was 100 years ago..Our friends love to hate us, where is the story? My favorite part of the reactions from our friends, upon hearing the news of us electing a mixed race POTUS..not one of those countries has ever been run by one of the people it suppressed..has Germany been run by a Jew since the Holocoust? Have the French had a leader of African decent, maybe from a slave family? How about the British? Have they had a Kenyan?
November 14, 2008 - 09:50 PM on November 14th, 2008
@Lightnin… Oh how I tried to let this go… There is no “whine” over the 2000 election, you see it how you have been led to believe it. I chose to see the truth. You may find this amusing, but I am actually a moderate. I am completely apposed to abortion except in certain cases, ie: rape or incest, am a gun owner (several), (somewhat) approve of welfare reform, believe in fiscal and financial responsibility, and support our troops in Iraq. I Am, however, opposed to the war there, it is my belief that we should be in Afghanistan. I assume that the post you are referring to as far as my vulgar language is/was concerned, was to a racist pig who came in here and spewed venom of hate and intolerance. yes, I draw the line there. I also can’t stand stupid people who make inflamatory claims such as Obama isn’t even an American. ( He was born in Hawaii, it has been verified, enough tired rhetoric on that subject). What I have a problem with, is the people who come onto these sites because of an outrageous story such as the one posted here, which is completely taken out of context, and post a bunch of crap just because “someone” decided to take a story and post it out of context. The next thing you know, Obama is/was a terrorist… Obama is/was a Muslim… Obama is/was… etc, etc… It is nothing more than a political campaign making up a story (swiftboat) to discredit the opposition. So many of you (well, maybe not YOU personally) republicans just latch on to the first worst story of the day and then wretch it back up for the masses like it is gospel. People need to ba able to think for themselves, and act accordingly. as far as I am concerned, for my children, and the image of the country I love so much, gwb has been an utter and complete disaster. Wanna know why? Open your newspaper. OK, don’t even open it, just read the headlines. I bet it is in regards to the economy, the war, (in Iraq) or our national debt. I have had enough of it. I want something left for my children and grandchildren besides TRILLIONS of dollars of debt, and a lifetime of paying for OUR mistakes. You blame the democrats (Pam) because of the last two years. I blame the republicans for the last 8 years of failed policies and an unjust war that has left our country on the verge of bankruptcy. Can you believe that? AMERICA on the verge of BANKRUPTCY! An dhow many Billions, if not trillions of dollars, and forget the human cost, of war… FOR NOTHING. Bin Laden was NEVER IN IRAQ. There were no WMD… There were no terrorists… until we came in and stirred the pot. And as far as Saddam Hussein was concerned… Who the hell made us International judge, jury, and executioner? And if it was so convenient to take him out, what about the places in the world like Mogodishu, or other parts of the world where things like female genital mutation goes on? Do those people deserve LESS aid? No, the sad truth is that there is NO OIL in those other countries, so we (government) turn our backs to the MOST needy countries and pursue a self-serving agenda of “US” first. And by “us” I mean the power-elite. Those policies have destroyed our international relations, and well could lead us into the third world war. That is what I am opposed to, that is why I support Barack Obama. I believe heart and soul in “country first”… but my country isn’t just corporate america, conservative christians, and the power elite. It is ALL America and ALL Americans… Black, Red, Brown, yellow, green, white. That IS America… Melting pot of the world.

No Douglas, nothing was taken out of context. Obama lied about his relationship with Ayers..You can try and spin it any way you want but that is the truth..
If you want to call it swiftboating, great..The swiftboaters told the truth and they were victorious. Kerry is an opportunistic liar..3 purple hearts in 3 months…and gee, home he went..
What about the war in Iraq? It is just formalities at this point and we have been victorious, no thanks to the Democrats or the newspapers..Note how they aren’t printng any stories these days? It gives you a good indication of how the war is going..it’s called victory..Get a clue about Iraq before you spout stupidity…
Really? We look out for our interests? Get outta here? Really? We saw how those high fuel costs hurt the economy and the citizens, we see how the high cost of gas and electricity is killing peoples budgets..Thanks Democrats for making sure we became dependent on foreign oil..Thanks for not allowing us to use our own supplies..Tell me how the promise of alternative fuel in 10 years helps the locals put gas in their car or propane in the heating tank!
The economy? No, it isn’t just the past 2 years that I am blaming Democrats for, it is the past 30.. The war didn’t leave this country on the verge of bankruptcy, it was the subprime crisis that has done that..Thanks democraps..George Bush didn’t even spend that much on the war you love to hate…
Which international relationship is destroyed? You keep saying that, yet you never back it up…
I sincerely hope you study some subjects at length rather than just trying to wing it with sound bytes!

Surely you don’t even know the meaning of those words. No further reason to amplify them… You know what that means? That means… “Damn, I have no comeback to that post, so I better just shut up.” Enjoy your blissfully naive’ lives. We WILL make this country great again, with or without you. Like i said, I sincerely hope you study some subjects at length rather than just trying to wing it with sound bytes! That doesn’t seem to be working out for you…

Response to PAM’s blog on statement.
Obviously common sense is what you lack. I made the statement just to prove a point of you’ll never know who you may come into contact in your lifetime. And people shouldn’t judge you on what others you may have came into contact with. And to demonize others by association is pretty stupid was the point of the comparison of the church goers… Pure Genius Pam… Pure Genius. I put in bold letters Sounds pretty stupid… And your Genius A$$ took all above Sounds pretty stupid… literally. You may need to read before you respond, because what your response was, ”might have sounded pretty good in YOUR head.” Didn’t mean everyone else needed to hear what you said. And for Mr Co-Signer Lightnin you almost got what I was saying. That was more of an intelligent response than that of Ms Pam.
I never blogged before today, but you guys are making this stuff fun.

Common Sense,
Of course we don’t know who we will come into contact with, but if we come into contact with an unrepentant terrorist that planted bombs in federal buildings, murdered cops and a federal judge as his son watched, you can be damn sure i wouldn’t be going to his home for teas..This was no random meeting, and it wasn’t once or twice..
The church goer analogy is just as stupid today as it was last night..those church goers did not continue to work with him, go to his home for a tea, or even go to a barbeque, once they found out he was a serial killer, did they? No they didn’t… See if you can grasp this…Obama knew all about Ayers, Obama became friends with Ayers, Obama lied about his relationship with Ayers..
Remember when Obama said he never heard Rev. Wright use languange like he heard on those tapes..he said he sat there for 20 years and never heard it..

Jesus, are you an idiot? Ayers didn’t kill anyone? You are WRONG!! He was never convicted of killing anyone because the FBI used illegal wire tappings and search warrants so they were not able to convict him. When Ayers was in NYC on GMA a jouranlist was trying to interview him and because he felt threatened–guess who he called? The New York Police Dept., the same people he tried to kill when he was doing all of his bombings. How ironic.
November 16, 2008 - 12:19 PM on November 16th, 2008
No Dee, Jesus is NOT an idiot. And I don’t recall anyone stating that Ayers personally killed anyone.
Now here’s evidence of your idiocy:
“He was never convicted of killing anyone because the FBI used illegal wire tappings and search warrants so they were not able to convict him.”
Yes, he was not convicted because of the searches without warrants and so on. Does that make Ayers a choirboy? He was the cofounder of the Weathermen Underground. But all that goes away because he was not convicted due to legal technicalities? He is what he is, and you can’t pretend that didn’t happen.
November 16, 2008 - 01:42 PM on November 16th, 2008
And your point Robert? I never said Ayers was a choirboy and nothing goes away just because he wasn’t convicted. Am I pretending it didn’t happen? Explain please. Jesus stated that Ayers never killed a person in his life. I believe that can be debated. I belive you do not understand my comment. You have taken one thing out of the remarks and commented on it. Ayers is guilty no doubt. Because of screw ups by the Government, he was unbable to be convicted. Robert, looks like you are just as much an idiot as I am

We all know that in Nazi party began in a gay bar in Munich . Hitlers right hand man–Roehm was a homosexual. The Brown Shirts were Hitler’s enforcers and mainly homosexual. Roehm recruited homosexuals because they were willing to brawl, kill, fight, smash window just for the heck of it. (Sound familiar?) The principal force of this group was to “beat anyone up that opposed the Nazis”. Hitler believed this was best done by homosexuals. Most of Hitlers cohorts where homosexuals or perverts. Everyone knows this, it isn’t anything new. In short the masculine homosexual movement in Germany started the Brown shirts and the Brown shirts started the Nazi Party. It is estimated that less that 1% of European homosexuals died at the hands of Nazi Germany. Nothing compared to the Jews. What is the point I am trying to make?? There is another side of homosexual activists who always mention the Nazi persecution of homosexuals and in doing this they imply that Christians who oppose the “nomalization” of homosexuality are in fact Nazis!!!!!! The truth is Christians and certain portions of the homosexual community both had a lot to fear from the Nazis. Nazi Germany became the horror it was because it rejected Christianity and the clear teaching of sexuality. History seems to repeat itself if we allow it. And don’t forget Hitler did have Roehm shot—because he feared his power overtaking his rule. Wow, Germany was one sick perverted country and now we can understand one of the reasons why.

“Roehm recruited homosexuals because they were willing to brawl, kill, fight, smash window just for the heck of it. (Sound familiar?)”
Very familiar. The homosexuals tend to be very vindictive, they never forget, and the radicals are quite willing/eager to engage in criminal activity.
It isn’t a huge leap from that mindset to creation a fascist movement that destroys anything that isn’t like it. Just like the 1930s.
