UPDATED..Franken Turning Recount Into Another Florida..And That’s A Good Thing UPDATE: Soros Involved..UPDATE II:Challenged ballots: You be the judge

We all remember this:

Team Franken challenged this ballot yesterday

Why is it being challenged?  Well His team seems to think they had a better shot at attracting the “less educated”, but as Ed points out, this challenge negates everything they have been saying for the past two weeks.

I am sure that Florida faced much the same as this stupidity, and by that,  I am referring to the challenger, not the voter!

UPDATE:Left-wing billionaire financier George Soros is using his financial muscle at a Manhattan fund-raiser tonight to help Al Franken win a recount in Minnesota’s Senate election.

  1. Thanks for the link. Love the magnifying glass photo!

  2. So douchebag idiot Al Franken is trying to pull an Al Gore?  I saw on Fox News the other night a story about how close that race is and how Franken keeps demanding recounts. And strangely enough; ballots keep mysteriously appearing, like one precint Captain “found” a bunch of ballots in the trunk of her car that mistakenly hadn’t been turned in, and amazingly, they were 100% for Franken! Imagine thatI

Franken is a pos and is trying the same fraud that Gore tried. Why do democrites always have to resort to fraud and criminality?

  3. Gov. Pawlenty said on Fox News when he and Michael Steele were on Chris Wallace last Sunday the ballots in the trunk story had been discounted and there was no evidence of wrong doing or fraud. That was the Sunday,Nov. 16th program. I haven’t decided whether Mr. Franken is a POS yet. I know Sen Coleman is and I know Al Gore is a POS.So,I agree with half of your POS choices so far.

  4. Pete, Sen Coleman is not a pos and he’s been working on very important legislation relating to the oil for food scandal.  If you recall no one was prosecuted in that because there were no laws applicable that allowed for prosecution.  He is trying to change that.

Al Franken on the other hand is a pos and an America Hater.  Oh yes, he is trying to buy his way into office with George Soros money.  Follow the money as they say.

    Let’s hope honesty wins out.

  5. BonBon,I’m glad Sen. Coleman is working on that issue though it be a bit tardy. I disagree with your opinion on him,I do believe he is a POS. I have not made up my mind on Mr. Franken so I am not willing to say he is or is not a POS. He may slip into the “my pit of POS members” if he keeps talking and acting like a jerk. I have a large pit filled with POS from both parties but these things take time.I’m very old and it takes me quite a long time to gather facts and assimilate them all to come to decision.I do trust Gov. Pawlenty when he says the recount will be fair and honest. He knows the state better than I.

  6. BobBon,one other thing. Most candidates are trying to buy office with someone else’s money and usually it’s rich folks who are providing it.They have them on both sides and I don’t think most of them care much about me.I doubt they care much about you either but I can’t really say as I do not know your situation.I don’t know that there is a solution to that or not.I know it’s been tried but they (and I mean both parties) always find ways around whatever the rules are. That freedom of speech thing is hard to get around.

  7. Looking at the one contested ballot they have had so far,why would that be anything but a Coleman vote? Anyone see it any different?

  8. I agree both parties have let us down and it’s unfortunate that money is required to run a successful campaign and be elected.  That being said I believe there are many other ways to solve the problem – term limits being one and educating our youth would be a big one. There are others.

As for Senator Coleman, he is not tardy on this.  It is an issue that is complicated and complex.  Laws have to be made in conjunction with international laws and working with his counterparts in other countries.  He has been working on this, as well as other local legislation, for several years now.  You can find more information on this at The Defense for Democracies.  It’s a bi partisan organization that has lots of info on this and other foreign policy issues.

  9. BonBon,Is this the right group? I copied this from the web site of the FDD or Foundation for the Defense of Democracy.I know the president of this organization is Clifford May.
Our Leadership Council of Distinguished Advisors includes former FBI Director Louis J. Freeh, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former National Security Advisor Robert “Bud” McFarlane, former Ambassador Max Kampelman, Sen. Joe Lieberman (ID-CT), and former CIA Director R. James Woolsey.

If it is,I have a lot more reading to do.

  10. BonBon,I found a Foundation for the Defense of Democracies.Their president is Clifford May.The following I pasted from their web site.

Our Leadership Council of Distinguished Advisors includes former FBI Director Louis J. Freeh, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former National Security Advisor Robert “Bud” McFarlane, former Ambassador Max Kampelman, Sen. Joe Lieberman (ID-CT), and former CIA Director R. James Woolsey.

Is this the right site? If so,I got a lot more reading to do before I can comment on . Life is complicated and complex, why should this be any different.

  11. BonBon,I sent a reply but I think it went into space.Probably a good place for some of my posts.Maybe Pam can retrieve it if it’s there.I’ll check later.

  12. Pete, yes that is correct.  Sorry, I just now realized I didn’t give you the exact name.  It is an extremely informative site.  They also have speakers and lectures and since I live in the DC area I have actually attended some.  Great organization and I highly recommend you use this for reference.

  13. BonBon,thanks.I’ll read any site for information.I’ve added that one to my list.I’ll still be reading all this stuff when they are carrying me away. LOL  Does anyone have any news on how the recount process went today?

  14. Al Franken is a big, steaming POS! Can you imagine trying to claim the ballot above is really a vote for Franken?

No, Franken, you’re not good enough, you’re not honest enough, and doggone it, you’re a douchebag!

  15. Robert,I am extremely pleased you have not changed your mind. That would literally destroy my confidence in the balance of the universe.I would like to see each of the over 100 ballots each side has  contested as of yesterday. If they are like the one above, both sides should be severely beaten about the head.Oh heck, let’s just put the two of them in a locked room with each other and whoever comes out can be Senator. We could televise it on PPV and apply the money to the debt.Any yes votes to that?

  16. Anyone who doesn’t think Franken is a douchebag, did not follow Air America’s looting of the Gloria Wise Boys and Girls’ club in NY.  If Obama and company can demand that bailed out executives have to give back their bonuses, then Franken has to give back of the Wise money he was paid with.

  17. I think you may be a bit off on this although I will admit,I don’t know a whole lot about this. I think maybe the fellow you want to blame for that is named Evan Cohen and the folks at Gloria Wise who “loaned” the money.I believe they were prosecuted by the now famous Eliot Spitzer. If you want to condemn Franken for his political views, that’s one thing but I don’t think he had much to do with this except he worked there.I’d be happy to go to a link to view your evidence.I’ve been to a few already but am certainly willing to see your data.

  18. http://www.nyc.gov/html/doi/pdf/GW_Report.pdf

This is a copy of the investigative report. It’s very long (37 pages) and kind of dry reading but it tells what was discovered and turned over to the Attorney General if you’d like more information.

  19. PCD

I think someone may have supplied you with erroroneous information on the Gloria Wise Boys and Girls Clubs of NYC. In my post above I supplied a link to the actual investigative report. It is really dry reading but I don’t think Mr. Franken’s name appears. He may well be a douchebag but not because of the incident you proscribe to him.And please remember,President-elect Obama hasn’t done anything yet as president,he hasn’t been sworn in yet so I’m not real sure what you meant by “his” bailout and executives paying back the bonuses they got. That would be President Bush, his Secretary of the Treasury and the Democratic Congress. Plenty of blame to go around for that.

  20. Mr. Penguin,
There is adequate history at this site alone, Mr. Johnny-come-lately.  Just search the archives, your lazy self.  Oh, don’t forget to look at the smoking gun site reference where Mr. Lying Franken had to sign legal documents concerning the Wise money.

  21. Also, if you can take your pucker off of Obama’s butt long enough, look up his statements about AIG executives, etc. coming to DC with checks in their hands to payback the taxpayers for the bonuses they received, yet MR. OBAMA was one of the biggest, top 5, recipients of Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac political donations.  Where’s your call for Obama to pay the taxpayers back that money???

  22. PCD,I prefer to search all the sources available and not just this site.If you limit your resources for researching information, you end up being short on knowledge. I will go research the information on this site as you suggest.Did you read the report I posted? Johnny-come-lately? I haven’t been called that in more than forty-five years but I think I understand your meaning.Because I am new to the site does not disqualify me from commenting, does it? Also,as I have said,I haven’t decided whether Mr. Franken is a douchebag or not and I’m still reading information provided for me from another poster  about Sen Coleman, who I continue to believe is a douchebag but am willing to be convinced he is not. Mr. Franken may not represent my political views and I may not care much for him as a person but I won’t call him a douche bag yet until I find something more compelling than someone else posting it. I’m now going to go do more research on this as you suggest.I would urge you to read the report I posted.

  23. PCD as to your also,by my pucker  I guess you mean my lips and that’s not a very nice thing to say to anyone. So,if I understand your post and please tell me if I am not understanding your logic, you are comparing bonuses given to executives by the place they work at ,a company the government is bailing out and campaign donations from  Fannie and Freddie? I think it is apples and oranges but if I accept your point, let all candidates who accepted money from any entity the government has provided money for should return campaign donations.I think I might be okay with that concept. That’s a lot of money and would prohibit me from donating to campaigns as I’m on social security.Maybe that’s taking your point too far,I don’t know.Campaign finance reform is needed but it is,as is pretty much everything, quite complex. Now,I need to go read those things you suggested.Would you do the same?

  24. PP, You are sanctimonious in your prose.  You are mouthing before thinking.  It was a simple demand.  When a politician demands someone as in an AIG exec give back money because they are being bailed out by the taxpayer because of the credit crisis caused by the meltdown of the subprime mortgage market, those same politicians should be forced to refund their contributions from Fannie and Freddy.  That is simple but for those so snooty and imperious as yourself, it is hard for you to accept input from people you look down upon.

I’ve been here longer and am older than most.

As for reading the report, I did that and more as I have posted on this site YEARS AGO.

If I seem unimpressed with you, I AM!

  25. I wasn’t trying to impress you. I don’t care how long you’ve posted here or how old you are. I don’t know why you feel the need to attach motives to my posts that are not there.I’m willing to go check out other sites that back up your post if you will tell me what they are.I ask that you do the same for me.Whether you do or not matters not to me.If you disagree that knowledge and the search for knowledge is a good thing, that again is up to you.I do find it somewhat humorous  that you feel the need to tell me you are old as if that is something that makes your remarks all the more accurate.I’m glad you read the report.Did it have any information you were unaware of?

  26. I noted the holes in the report.  Again, search this site for my posts on Franken.  It isn’t that hard.

  27. PCD

You noted the holes in the official report done by the government? The one they used to prosecute the folks at Gloria? No,i can’t find it.I guess you’ll have to give a johnny come lately young whipper snapper like myself more help than that. Education is always on going so show me a link.I suppose you could insult me or hang a few tags on me but I’d really prefer you tell me a link.Help me see your point of view.

  28. Pete owes you nothing PCD..If you don’t want to discuss the topic then don’t respond to him…

  29. Pete,
Here are three good sources for the fraud that Franken says he didn’t know about, but was forced to admit that he did know about..some might be redundant:

Captain’s Quarters, Michelle and Brian Maloney

  30. Pam,can you direct me to what he’s talking about? I seriously looked and I did find some stuff but not anything like he was saying about poking holes in the report. It isn’t that big a deal with me and I know you have more stuff to handle than deal with me but I am more than willing to read any information.Either way, thanks.

  31. Pam

LOL,I was asking while you were helping.Thanks.

  32. Pam,

Thanks very much.I’ll be reading into the new year. LOL   I haven’t finished the stuff I got from BonBon yet. Again,Thank you.

  33. No problem Pete.  The importance of the link to the investigative blog report is really kind of sad.  It took bloggers to drive the story and push the investigation.    Franken took his paycheck knowing those kids were screwed out of the money!  JMO!  People don’t give to charity so that the money can pay Al Franken’s salary!

  34. PP, I DID NOT Say poked holes.  I said there were holes.  If the Packers weren’t getting shellacked, I wouldn’t be on tonight.

  35. Also, the prosecutor was a Democrat beholden to the Democrat party and Air America.

  36. One last note.  The kids got screwed because of the slowness of the NY Prosecutor, Gloria Wise closed and the money never really got out of Air America’s hands even after they closed.

  37. Okay, thank you everyone.I have more than enough information to look over. I want to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving,a merry Christmas and a happy new year.I don’t think I’ll be on for awhile,I’ll be reading what you have given me and my youngest 2 kids get home from college later today for holiday break and the rest of my children will be in too. Pam,I sincerely hope all goes well with you. Again, thank you.

  38. Well there is also the matter of Franken failing to pay for his employees health insurance for years despite that being part of their compensation package. With the complaints of the Dems about uninsured Americans, Franken could’ve at least paid what he was supposed to pay. He didn’t.

  39. Franken is now asking the Democrat Senate led by Harry Reid to discount the votes and just seat him.  The POS Reid is considering just that theft of a US Senate Seat.

If Reid does that, Hello US Banana Republic, Goodbye democracy.

  40. If that’s true PCD then the media should be all over it.  NOT!!  But seriously, perhaps Fox will keep tabs on this.  I believe Megan Kelly has been on top of voter fraud this year, especially with the Acorn stuff.  I’ve got catching up to do but will be reading up on this.  My sil, who’s one of the loony left (imo) sent him a check the other day.  I shuddered when I saw it.
