Baltimore mayor indicted for perjury, theft; Democrat faces 12-counts…

By: Pam On: Jan/9/09 - 6 Comments

A Democrat?

Baltimore Mayor Sheila A. Dixon was charged today with 12 counts of felony theft, perjury, fraud and misconduct in office, becoming the city’s first sitting mayor to be criminally indicted.

The case stems in part from at least $15,348 in gifts Dixon allegedly received from her former boyfriend, prominent city developer Ronald H. Lipscomb, while she was City Council president. She also is accused of using as much as $3,400 in gift cards, some donated to her office for distribution to “needy families,” to purchase Best Buy electronics and other items for herself and her staff.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. If anyone ever questions what a one party rule will give you just look at Maryland.  We have no factories, no business, higher taxes, higher crime rates, budget defiicits and crooked politicians.

After more than 30 years of this the people elected a Republican.  Governor Ehrlich and Michael Steele as his lieutenance governor worked hard to correct this situation and were discredited continually by a democratically controlled state congress.  They ended up as a one term administration.

We have suffered here in Maryland and the country will do the same unless the people wake up and realize that a state or a country that is continually run by one party will ultimately cause destruction.  That goes for the both the elephant and the donkey.

My advice – vote for the best candidate, not your party affiliation.

BonBon you are absolutely right. Another good example is Kalifornia. We have the occasional Republican Governor, but the Legislature has been totally controlled by Democrats for 40 years.

Compared to the once-great state it was when I was growing up there, it now is nearly third world status. Infrastructure crumbling, schools in crisis, annual massive budget deficits, high taxes, businesses and productive people leaving only to be replaced by uneducated illegals with no skills that ultimately are a net cost to the State. The only reason there is still some good left is because the State was so great and there is so much to destroy. But the Leftists/Liberals/Democrites are doing their best to destroy what remains.
But it is a classic, textbook case of what one party (Democrite) control does over time.

One of the most disturbing things for me is that they don’t even see it.  In spite of all the corruption and questionable associations with NObama, democrits refuse to acknowledge any culpability in their mistakes.  Look at Barney Frank.  He’s a huge denier with the Freddie Mac thing.  There are others.  Republicans remain loyal but when one of them crosses the line they are OUT.  Not so with dems. Talk about double standard.  Geesh…I’m a woman and never felt this much double standard.

It will be the destruction of our country if democrats don’t own up to their mistakes.
