Video Of US Airways Hudson River Crash Landing
Flip:
You knew it had to have been captured somewhere. “Somewhere” (appropriately enough) turned out to be a Coast Guard video camera.
The event in question begins just after the 2:00 mark. Less than 2 minutes later, the NY Waterway ferries are en route and within 4 minutes of impact, the first one is on the scene.
All passengers survived the crash landing into the Hudson River.
What a story.
Captain Hero and his family are on their way to the inauguration, apparently. Exit quotation: “I know at our house, we watch the news and day after day, we’d say. ‘I just don’t know how much more bad news we can take.’ And so not only am I glad my husband is happy, healthy and alive today, but just for the nation, I just didn’t want to have another bad news accident for anybody’s family.”

For those who doubt. I always tell people, especially those non believers, that miracles do happen every single day. The child who survives cancer, the car crash that no one could have lived through yet someone did. They are small news items next to the big ones but they are there everyday if you stop to look.
This was a miracle on a much larger scale and you have to wonder if there is a message in it for us. God Bless the pilot whose skill was taught to him by none other than our U.S. military. He was an F-4 pilot years ago and had 19,000 commercial airline hours logged. What a hero.

I don’t know if it is true or just talk, but I have heard the PI lawyers (vultures) are already lining up to sue the airline (and probably the pilot as well).
If I was the Judge hearing any cases I would tell those lawyers to sue the birds that caused the failures—then dismiss the cases.

They’re lining up alright just like vultures. I hope none of the survivors are foolish enough to actually sue. I would not be surprised if the airline has already made a payoff offer (as well as expenses of course).

Hi guys! That’s some great footage of the landing and rescue…! The pilot has amazing skills and every one of the passengers has him to thank for their lives.
I heard that the captain is from the Bay Area (!)
Who’s going to sue who, and for what?! Can Canada Geese be prosecuted?

<a href=”http://bloggingredneck.blogspot.com/2009/01/were-gonna-be-in-hudson.html”>”We’re gonna be in the Hudson”</a>
Those were the exact words the pilot of the ‘miracle flight’ told air traffic controllers right before ditching the plane in the Hudson River. The flight attendants yelled, “Brace! Brace! Head down!”
