ALERT: ABCNEWS REPORTS CIA AGENT ACCUSED OF RAPES, VIDEOTAPE

By: Pam On: Jan/28/09 - 2 Comments

Via a DRUDGE ALERT comes this report from ABC News:

The CIA’s station chief at its sensitive post in Algeria is under investigation by the U.S. Justice Department for allegedly raping at least two Muslim women who claim he laced their drinks with a knock-out drug, U.S. law enforcement sources tell ABC News.

Officials say the 41-year old CIA officer, a convert to Islam, was ordered home by the U.S. Ambassador, David Pearce, in October after the women came forward with their rape allegations in September.

The discovery of more than a dozen videotapes showing the CIA officer engaged in sex acts with other women has led the Justice Department to broaden its investigation to include at least one other Arab country, Egypt, where the CIA officer had been posted earlier in his career, according to law enforcement officials.

The U.S. State Department referred questions to the Department of Justice, which declined to comment.

“It has the potential to be quite explosive if it’s not handled well by the United States government,” said Isobel Coleman, a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations who specializes in women’s issues in the Middle East.

“This isn’t the type of thing that’s going to be easily pushed under the carpet,” she said.

The CIA refused to acknowledge the investigation or provide the name of the Algiers station chief, but the CIA Director of Public Affairs, Mark Mansfield, said, “I can assure you that the Agency would take seriously, and follow up on, any allegations of impropriety.”

It can be a crime for government officials to reveal the identity of a current covert intelligence officer, and CIA officials would not comment the status of the person under investigation.

    Here where I live, a US Coast Guard DEA Agent had raped me for many years and had taken two marriages of mine and destroyed them. I finally told the law when he raped me the last time in 1988 and I had a Grand Jury, but there was not enough evidence then to convict him and the DOJ, along with other law agencies. They all knew him and what he was making time with me, but they want to say that I was after him and I wanted him to have sex with me. I never knew his covert operation, until the DOJ in another town told me his title. To this day I have no idea why he came into my life, raped me many times and destroyed two marriages. Just so unreal. No one will acknowledge this is this town.

    JK;

    If you’re going to tell bald-faced lies, at least try to get your story straight. The DEA is the Drug Enforcement Agency. The Coast Guard is a separate arm of the United States Armed Forces. While the Guard has drug enforcement responsibilities, there is no such thing as a US Coast Guard DEA agent. The closest you’re going to find is a Maritime Law Enforcement team member or an internal Coast Guard Investigator– neither of which has any access to interrogative drugs or any power or authority over American Civilians. Anything that you claim was done to you wasn’t done by any special strings pulled within those organizations.

    The Coast Guard also does not engage in undercover operations. Period. Never has, never will. It’s considered unconstitutional for any branch of the Armed Forces to do so. The DEA or FBI may do so, but the Coast Guard does not. In fact, the Coast Guard’s law enforcement authority ends three miles from shoreline and five miles from the edge of inland waterways.

    After 14 years of service to my country in the United States Coast Guard, I think I’m informed enough to tell you that you’re full of crap. You’ve made up a nice story with the intent to add some sort of veracity to the idea that a CIA agent was using interrogation drugs to rape muslims, but truthfully I’m not buying an ounce of the BS.

    Another liberal straw man I suppose. Burn them where they stand.
