I've linked to your post with the quotation of Fox news from Obama's "Just Words" speeches which is a collection of articles looking at what Obama has done or is doing verses what he is saying or said. People are waking up to the gap between these two Obamas.

I think we all should be listening to T. Boone Pickens. His plans are so common sense. Also, what is wrong with Alaska resources? I have heard Sarah Palin speak about the resources her state offers. Yes, of course it will make some people rich - isn't that what Americas about? And yes, there are other states that can offer the same. We should get on board. NOW. We do not have the luxury of time anymore.

Time and time again I have never heard NObama talk about nuclear energy.

Generally Tuesday's speech had the right rhetoric, but when you look at specifics, the first one that jumped out at me as WRONG and the seeds of failure is this statement on energy:

"But to truly transform our economy, protect our security, and save our planet from the ravages of climate change, we need to ultimately make clean, renewable energy the profitable kind of energy. So I ask this Congress to send me legislation that places a market-based cap on carbon pollution and drives the production of more renewable energy in America. And to support that innovation, we will invest fifteen billion dollars a year to develop technologies like wind power and solar power; advanced biofuels, clean coal, and more fuel-efficient cars and trucks built right here in America."

So what he said is that instead of investing in energy that makes economic sense (like Nuclear) and developing our own sources in the interim while we invent all these miracle renewable sources, we artificially raise the cost of existing sources through this cap and trade system so that non-competitive sources suddenly become competitive.

That is absolutely WRONG and is mind-bogglingly STUPID!!! It is the plan of someone who is either hopelessly ignorant or is heavily invested in frauds like Al Gore's carbon credit scam.

How sad...this Country could be great...but not with crap like this substituting for reason...
