Obamateurism of the Day
Ed at Hot Air is going to have a feature called Obamateurism of the Day. (Background story here.)
Since Slate seems to have conceded the field and decided to remain locked in the past, I’ll fill the gap here at Hot Air. As often as we have material, I’ll post an Obamaism of the Day right here at Hot Air. If you see a foul-up by Barack Obama, e-mail it to me at obamaisms@edmorrissey.com with the quote and the link to the Obamaism. I have the separate account ready now, and I’ll post the funniest and most embarrassing rhetorical stumbles by The One over the next four years. Unlike Jacob Weisberg, though, I’ll give it up once Obama leaves office.
I am not sure if Ed knows what he is getting into with this. There are 24 hours in a day and based on the first two months of performance, Ed will find himself with another full time job! Send your links to Ed and I will highlight some of the better material.
This is the example that Ed used from Politico, demonstrating that the White House can’t quite figure out who represents what district in California:
Obama did the town hall, making the usual introductions: “We have Hilda Solis,” applause! and “The lieutenant governor,” applause! He added: “Got an outstanding member of Congress, Rep. Loretta Sanchez,” applause!
“Now, this is not Loretta’s district; this is actually Dana Rohrabacher’s district.” Boos come from the Dem crowd. “No, no, no, we actually — our office screwed up, and I think didn’t get the invitation to him on time, so he’s not here. That was a screw-up on our part. So I want to let him know we’re sorry about that, and I want everybody to give him a big round of applause; it’s his district.”
Have fun!

Is anybody keeping a running list of broken campaign promises by the Messiah? They should. It didn’t take abut weeks for him to break fundamental promises to the American people. Starting with his promise to end all earmarks. Not study the, not prioritize them, END them!
Instead what do we get? Not only the opposite, but on an unprecedented, mind-boggling scale!
He promised change, change away from the corruption and partisanship. Instead we got a ship of fools filled with hypocrites, incompetents, and thieves.
Hey Obama voters: Are you at least starting to feel deceived, lied to, played bigtime?

Hi Robert, I’ll keep a list. It looks like it’s going to end up being a long one.
For all those NObama supporters. Are you happy that the government is preparing to control you? Don’t believe me? Look around. They are preparing to own private companies and from there it’s only a matter of setting into place the mechanisms for a dictatorship. At least George Bush did what he did to protect America whereas the liberal democrats are doing what they are doing to control you.
I see a revolution coming.

Hi BonBon! That would be very useful, a running list , with as much objectivity as practical, of broken promises. Maybe we could maintain one one RV and link to it?
This is anecdotal, but people are starting to wake up. My sister, a staunch Democrat since she started voting, is now talking about changing her voter registration to Independent. That’s a huge change for her. Just 4 months ago she was a starry-eyed Obama supporter, eagerly awaiting the change she believed in. I think she’s starting to realize we’ll need lots of condoms as we get that “change”; Chinese condoms or otherwise.
Obama/Pelosi/Reid just might do as much or more to the Democrite Party as Bush did to the Republicans…only a lot faster!
Personally, I want to end the 2-partyy system. It’s time.
