Hey, can anyone help me? I’m looking for two specific graphs that I know have to exist somewhere:

1) A line graph showing violence in Iraq from 2007 (surge) through the present. I know there’s been a sharp spike around February for some reason… I wonder why that was?

and 2) A line graph showing the Dow Jones from 2004-2009. Specifically I’m looking for the sharp dip in 2007 and the spiral through 2008.

What amazes me is the way Bush gets blamed for an economy that was THRIVING in 2005– and started to fall apart about six months after the dems took control of Congress in 2006. I saw one bumper sticker last summer, when gas was $4.66 around here, that floored me: “When Bush took office gas was $1.90 a gallon!”

I left a note under his wiper: “Six YEARS after President Bush took office gas was only $2.25 a gallon. Six MONTHS after Nancy Pelosi became the Speaker of the House it was $4.10 a gallon. Why would you put stupid on your bumper like that and advertise to the world that you can’t understand basic facts?”

Anyway, if someone could find one or both of those graphs I’d appreciate it. Thanks!

Ultimately I am saddened because I believe we will have to suffer another attack, perhaps even more devastating than 9/11 for them to wake up.  Right now I think we should be looking at Pakistan and what NObama does with that.  Already there is an escalation in Iraq.  Why do you think that is?  Because they know NObama doesn’t care and America will let them down again.

The sad truth is that the vast majority of Americans are unwilling or unable to think this through. Look at how many are still waiting for Obama to pay their rent and put gas in their car.

Let’s hope that sanity and logic win out.

Normally I would agree with you. I blogged in 2007 that there would be another attack on American soil within 16 months of a democrat taking the White House.

However, I reckoned WITHOUT something in my equation. I usually see democrats as inept and corrupted by power. Bill Clinton was obsessed with the power of his office and used it to chase tail. Nancy Pelosi is controlled by her own lack of morality and personal whims.

Obama is different. After looking at his actions, my personal opinion is that he is actively and actually MALICIOUS towards this country.

Point: He has undermined our national image abroad and presented America as a weak supplicant, unable or unwilling to respond to calculated verbal attacks. We are willing, in fact, to prostrate ourselves before a Saudi Dictator.

Point: He hand selected a known tax cheat to run the IRS, further undermining American confidence in our taxation system, which is already at an all-time low. This destabilization of the revenue system is calculated to force citizens to display their ire, setting the stage for suspension of the Bill of Rights and a potential declaration of martial law.

Point: He further hand selected a woman known for her security incompetence to be the DHS secretary. There is no other explanation as to how the governor of a state that has resisted all forms of border security and has Mexican drug cartels conducting kidnappings for ransom in their freakin’ capital city could be selected as a security chief.

Point: His office intentionally ordered the expose’ of CIA interrogation methods, knowing that it would cause outrage and back those of us on the right further into a corner. Who is not feeling the pressure now? When is it going to pop when someone less than stable gives a further excuse for removal of the Bill of Rights and the establishment of martial law? (Think it can’t happen? Take a closer look at New Orleans after Katrina.)

Scariest point: The Air Force One flyover was neither a photo op nor an accident. In military ambush or attack planning circles it’s called a “Dry Run.” Terrorists use them more or less continuously. Suicide bombers will walk into target areas with ballpoint pens, clicking them to simulate setting off a charge at certain points. Kidnappers will converge on travel routes to adjust timings.

These techniques are well known and well-practiced. The Obama White House ordered the “photo-op” specifically to guage New York City reaction and the technical feasibility of a repetition of a plane attack. It was calculated to do one of two things:

1) Spread panic. (This serves its purpose just as terrorism does; it uses fear to provide political impetus.)
2) Be ignored. (If this is the case then it proves that security is lax and the dry run is a success.)

Most democrats are actually incompetent, stupid, or power hungry. Barack Obama is outright malicious. I never believed the stories of his muslim upbringing until I saw him bow to his superior (a Saudi king) and began considering his actions in a new light.

Watch for the pressure to be gradually increased. Several things are going to happen, in no particular order:

1) There WILL be another terrorist attack on American soil by the end of this year. (If not, feel free to rub my nose in it.)
2) There MAY be a domestic explosion from a REAL right wing extremist group that is ignored because the DHS and NSA are busily looking at Michelle Malkin and Rush Limbaugh.
3) If either of those things happen, the Federal government will use it as an excuse to impose the same draconian gun grabbing they used during Katrina.
4) If points 1-2 do not take place, look for the economy to continue to worsen under Obama’s rule, just as it did in 1939 under FDR. Look for increasing resistance to taxation, growing to a powder keg easily ignited by the right mouth in the wrong place and turning into riots. If that takes place, look for point three to be invoked.

Gun grabbing insures that our new czar can never be resisted. People have forgotten that the Second Amendment was written by a group of people that had just fought a long and costly war against a repressive regime and intended it to be the final check and balance if OUR government ever went down that same path. Liberals, incompetent or malicious, know that it presents the final barrier to their complete autonomy.

THIS is why I’ve never felt more hopeless. THIS is why most of my anger is directed at phony Republicans who undermined and destroyed the last protective screen we had in place to prevent just such a Manchurian candidate from getting into office.

Had they done their jobs for the last eight years this situation would not have occurred.

Now they are touting the ‘moral standard’ crap that’s just another version of having their utopian ‘anything goes’ society they desperately wish to create.

The reality is if good guys don’t fight evil, then evil will prevail in our world.  

AngryD…that is why it’s so very important not to let this country be run as a one party country.  The United States, along with a few other countries, are the only ones with the principles and the power to fight evil.   

You will NEVER see me in support of Obama’s policy of “hope and change.” The only change I want to see is less government in my damn way, and the only hope I cling to is that there will still be a country remaining when he’s finally ousted.
