For Nancy Pelosi to say she did not know is revealing her own lack of responsibility. She sent an aide to one meeting – didn’t the aide provide a report to her? If national security was important to her, why did she send an aide and not go herself? Now there is this “a letter would do no good” attitude. That inherently states she knew something, but chose not to act. If it is important now to act, to create this political issue now, why was it not important to write a letter to someone within the CIA stating her views then? Nancy Pelosi can not have it both ways. I can not believe that being in the leadership positions she has had, that she did not know something about this issue.

“Mr. Steele;

Get your finger out. You are in a prime position to attack democrat power in the House of Representatives by exposing Nancy Pelosi for the liar she is. As one of your supporters in the RNC I expect Republican leadership in Congress to call, loudly and vociferously, for a Justice Department investigation of Pelosi’s claims. Such an investigation would expose that she is lying, eradicate her credibility, and begin paving the way for conservatives to retake control of our country in 2010.

Alternatively, you could simply sit there on your hands and do nothing. That, too, will be remembered in 2010.”

It’s time, guys. We spend fat too much time sitting here on these blogs tossing comments back and forth to one another. Take some damn action. Go get in your elected representative’s face. THEY work for YOU.

Now, if we had actual Republican LEADERSHIP in place they would be pushing continually for a Justice Department investigation of the Botox Queen’s allegations. After all, the CIA LIED TO A MEMBER OF CONGRESS (according to her). Isn’t that perjury? Should that not be investigated and punished?

This is a no-risk situation for Republicans. They can take any tack they want and press for the investigation. They can claim to be interested in National Security. They can claim to be anti-torture. They can claim to be investigating the CIA as part of the Obamanation’s “transparency” in government.

It doesn’t matter. What matters is that San-Fran Nan gets exposed (again) as a political whore who will say anything, any time, to any one, in order to garner their vote.

But, truthfully, although I can see this from where I sit, the true reality is that not one of our current Republican “leadership” has the balls to make this happen. Even though it would quite possibly dethrone democrat leadership in the House and potentially lead to regaining the majority in 2010, current Republicans are content to wring their age-spotted hands and do nothing while whining about how bad the democrats are making everything.

Have they no decency? Have they no shame? Have they no damn BALLS?

We know the answer.
