This is the first time in over two years of polling that the GOP has held the advantage on this issue…

Republicans also now hold a six-point lead on the issue of government ethics and corruption, the second most important issue to all voters and the top issue among unaffiliated voters. That shows a large shift from May, when Democrats held an 11-point lead on the issue…

For the eighth straight month, Republicans lead on national security. The GOP now holds a 51% to 36% lead on the issue, up from a seven-point lead in May. They also lead on the war in Iraq 45% to 37%, after leading by just two points in May and trailing the Democrats in April…

Democrats continue to hold the lead on the issues of health care, Social Security and education. While Democrats have a 10-point advantage on health care, that’s down from the 18-point lead the party had a month ago.

I wonder if people are beginning to realize that capitalism and free markets net much more money than cap and trade and other government bailout schemes.

Now if only the GOP politicians will go back to their philosophy and practice it.

Yes, this poll is especially significant because the Republicans haven’t collectively shown much leadership for some time, yet they poll better probably because the Democrites have once again reminded the so-called moderate voters how bad the Democrites are after all despite their campaign mantra of “change we can believe in”!

How quickly you all are willing to preach the party line. Bush, that’s former Prez Bush started the bailouts that you all supported at the time. Just saying something has failed doesn’t make it true. You can be a constructive part of the process or get out of the way. Name calling and finger pointing and temper tantrums are very childish and not helpful. Free market runs in cycles and when this cycle came to a down swing it was really bad for a lot. For those of you who remain unaffected by the down swing, ride it out without trying to make it completely miserable for those of us who are benefiting from the help this President has given.

Change we can believe in? That’s because he’s taking what change we have left to spend.

The bad news is twofold: the Rs on the Hill are largely afraid of O and running in a dozen different directions, and  the  MSM will never report it. They’ll continue to focus on Brian Williams getting all giddy with Obamas, Michelle O’s wardrobe, Gitmo, the dog, Sotomayor, and now this sudden need to revamp health care right now. Or whatever else he declares is a crisis.

The MSM newsreaders keep babbling and explaining that the recovery isn’t happening yet because the stimulus money isn’t getting past consumers into the economy. Consumers are paying off credit cards, spending less, and putting money in the bank.  Bad, bad, bad consumers! It’s ALL YOUR FAULT! Here Obama is trying to save us and you consumers are derailing his brilliant work!

Remember how for years we were told we were spending too much, consuming too much, using too many resoucres and too much energy? How Americans were going to have to get used to less? How are people that are out of work and losing their homes putting money in the bank? Yeah, consumers have cut back: for SURVIVAL. They are putting less on credit cards because they either know it isn’t the way to go (the Gov’t should learn that lesson) or because they are already maxed out and in trouble.
These MSM bubble-head cretins are beyond belief…they will go to any length, twist themselves into pretzels to try to blame someone, anyone else rather than tell the plain truth: This administration is going down the wrong road at warp speed and is failing.

If he continues spending and lying about how many jobs were saved that weren’t saved, you will be seeing more people running at lightning speed.

    Wow Maisha,

Maybe the POTUS can help you learn too! By learn, I mean do research. And by research, I mean study the archives to see that none of us supported these bailouts.

Robert, I live in a town surrounded by lakes.

Some folks on the city council got upset that residents were wasting water, so they hike the rates a bit and told us not to use so much water. Now they got their skivvies in a twist over the city losing revenue because everybody cut back on water use, and now they want to try to raise rates.

Pam, doesn’t that remind you of Jennifer? It’s like they all went to the same nickel and dime ‘em to death seminar.

I agree Sasha! How is the unemployment in your area? I am starting to get really afraid for Michigan! She just may keep that campaign promise and blow us away in the 5 years she said it would take!

Hey Sasha, how’re you doing? The same thing is happening here now. The local MUD told everybody to conserve. They conserved so much that MUD revenue dropped precipitously. Instead of  paring back their expenses, the MUD wants to reward water users by raising their rates almost 20% over the next 18 months!
The good news is these Districts have Boards, comprised of Directors who are elected by the public. For years they have been almost anonymous, and the water users haven’t cared. But anyone can run for the Board and get elected. These klowns can’t hide forever…

Unemployment is  climbing; I’m still south of Flint.  The mole still wants to tax us to death, then want to check the corpses of for fillings.

Yeah, we’ll all be blown away, if she ever gets a big enough gun and ammo.

Hey Robert, I’m doing okay. Can’t complain too much; still working, still employed.

    How you doin’?

Okay, staying busy. There is no job security anymore here; if you can market your services, you can eat.
I am thinking of opening up an ACORN office here. Then I can apply for million$ in free money and retire.  Next best thing to winning the lottery…

And when you get that ACORN seed money, pocket it immediately. If you’re challenged by anyone, you can say Tim Geithner said you didn’t have to pay taxes on it, and the coup de tete … accuse them of being racist.
