Senate Bill Would Give President Emergency Control of Internet

This Congress and Administration is starting to scare me in a way I have never felt as an American.  We’ve seen plenty of leftists, and the communist party has been established here for almost a hundred years. But when we see our own so-called representatives giving us the finger, then this sort of thing comes up? Downright scary! And I believe the current POTUS would sign it.

A lot of things run through my mind…is it possible for anyone to take control of the internet? Sure they can track down IP addresses and jack-booted thugs can kick in your door. But can anyone truly control the internet? In the beginning the internet was a well-defined network of known routers and nodes. At some point traffic had to go through known routes. But the internet has become such a decentralized patchwork of links and routers there are many, almost endless combinations of routing paths. Is it possible for anyone to take control and stop the flow of data?

I can see why the Boll weevils would want to take control of the net. Whoever controls the flow of informations controls the sheeple. They already have the MSM, they are working on shutting down talk radio, the only thing left is the net.

Eight months into his Presidency, and it is becoming so clear. Thanks for nothing all you stupid “change we can believe in” morons!

...and your Liberty

and your freedom of choice, and your Liberty

  1. Why all the paranoia and extreme anxiety? So what? The President has always had the power to declare martial law in an emergency, this just brings that concept up to date with technology, that’s all. And what are you wingnuts so afraid of? I am certain we can trust our President because he is for all the people, not the special interests and corporate polluters!

  2. Maybe you “progressives” trust your President, but would you say the same thing if Bush was in office? If you can’t understand why giving the Gov’t such power to abrogate your Liberties is a bad idea, there’s little use wasting any time explaining it to you.
