Man’s Finger Bitten Off in Scuffle at Health Care Rally

About 100 protesters sponsored by MoveOn.org were having a rally supporting health care reform. A group of anti-health care reform protesters formed across the street.

A witness from the scene says a man was walking through the anti-reform group to get to the pro-reform side when he got into an altercation with the 65-year-old, who opposes health care reform.

The 65-year-old was apparently aggressive and hit the other man, who then retaliated by biting off his attacker’s pinky, according to Karoli from DrumsnWhistles.

The man took his finger and walked to Los Robles hospital for treatment.

If you follow the link to Karoli’s version of events, MoveOn was singing kumbaya but if you follow the link  to the picture of the anti-Obamacare crowd, his story falls apart

In order to get from the parking lot to the vigil, we were required to walk through the group of people opposed to health care reform. As you can see in the photo, they were originally staged right before the crosswalk to the thruway, so there was no way to avoid walking through their group.

Really?  You had to walk right through the menacing group of 8 people?  Absolutely no other way around it?

A MoveOn.org protester marched through a group of anti-Obamacare protesters in California last night. He then bit off a 65 year-old man’s finger!
It was bitten off.

The vigils come amid a flurry of organizing by the Democratic National Committee and other liberal groups as they attempt to regain control of the Washington debate over President Obama’s health-care reform plans. After weeks dominated by noisy conservative protests at congressional town-hall meetings, the DNC, MoveOn.org and others in support of reform say they are aiming to refocus attention on the need for dramatic changes to the country’s troubled health-care system.

We hope Congress will see these vigils as a moral call to go back to Washington pass health care reform with a real public health insurance option.”

Ummm..the guy went across the street and got his finger re-attached.
