The solution is to keep an eye on the DA. O’Keefe operated like a investigative journalist, which means he operated as a free press, the same as say 60 minutes. The courts have given journalists liberties over defamation laws when they can show a greater good in the same legal structure as say: if one sees a burning building and runs inside to save a person’s life, that was a greater good and a legal defense for trespassing.
