I’m tempted to tout Jesse Walker’s Reason piece for the third time today on HA as an explanation for Jimmeh’s cynicism here, but I can’t quite do it. The difference between Carter and most of the left, I think, is that he really believes this crap. And, to boot, he really believes he’s doing good by mentioning it rather than poisoning race relations by equating opposition to government expansion with white supremacism.

For crying out loud…now Peanut Brain has to weight in on this too? Another douchebag who had nothing to say whatsoevere when Pete Stark did the same thing to Bush…remember that saying “Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought of as a fool than to open it and remove all doubt?”
For Carter, it needs to be updated to “Better to keep your mouth shut and be remembered as a complete disaster, a failure, than to continue opening it and further degrading your legacy”.

I believe this man has proved beyond a shadow of doubt his real feelings of racial hate. It would seem to me that if he took his head out of his ass he would realize that racism and prejudice is dead in this country. It is just dead. Amen to that – now can we all move on now?

Hi Robert. Of course there is another take on this.
Cahrter should be allowed to speak his views loudly and often to make sure, with absolute certainty, not to leave any doubt in the listeners mind whatsoever, who exactly is continuing to use the race card in this country.
