High school kids want to be popular. Nations want to be prosperous, secure and in America’s case, a force for good in the world. Those things don’t usually lead to popularity because it means making hard choices and doing the right but often un-popular thing….you know, like a grown up.
Obama is making America popular again by talking us down and saying in effect, “We are nothing special, just one of the gang. We’ve been bad before and I’m sorry. I won’t do anything you don’t like.”
That’s morally bankrupt and dangerous. But who cares? We can eat lunch with the cool kids again!

I saw this announcement in an email from a friend this morning and I thought it was a joke! Something he made up, or perhaps something written by the Onion.
This completes the debasement of the Nobel Prize, which effectively ceases henceforth to be of any value whatsoever. This process started in earnest when it was given to terrorist Yasser Arafat, continued its descent with Al Gore, and now has reached the absolute nadir with the award to Nobama.
And I have to ask, like everyone else, for what? Why? Why now, only 9 months into his presidency? Is he that wonderful, just so glowingly magnetic, that just his presence, the aura of his magnificence upon the world’s consciousness merits such recognition?
Nobel prize = worthless nonsense. R.I.P. the once-great Nobel Prize. The founder, as would the Founders of America, no doubt be horrified and sickened by how far their accomplishments have fallen.
This is the Liberal/Socialist/Marxist/Communist/Progressive legacy for the world: debasement of everything traditional, good, productive. Promotion of everything degenerate, destructive, demented. That’s why I assert that the Leftist side is inspired by Satan to destroy everything good about humanity.
The once-great Nobel Prize is the latest in a continuing series of institutions to fall, to crumble to nothingness.

My god….am I taking crazy pills? In other words..the patently unqualified president, whose election “was not about race.”…..until election day when I heard the following phrase uttered with orgasmic glee by any liberal with a microphone “FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT!!!!”……
Now, the neophyte wunderkind who has basically done ZERO in 9 months in office..has not ended any wars (or contributed anything to actually WINNING them), has sided with the most reprehensible regimes on the planet (Cuba, North Korea, Iran and the PLO to name but a few), is the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize based on, and I quote “his vision, potential, and what his election represents….”

Our magnificent President is honored by this esteemed international committee and all you can do is detract and insult? How pathetic! Fact is the International Community has recognized the substantial contribution made by our President, in only 9 months (a new record). How many awards did Bush get? Bush had eight years. he and the republicans wrecked the economy, started wars, bankrupted the nation through deficit spending, and then made the whole world hate us!
By contrast, our President has won the admiration of Europe, calmed the Arab world, brought russia back to the bargaining table and is poised to end the illegal wars. That is why he gets this wonderful major award.
Your problem is you are just jellus and seething with hate because your republicans NEVER get any awards because all they ever try to do is steel from the poor to give to the rich!

Hi Lenny. Tsk, tsk. Your man is in good company. Do you even know the history behind Yassar Arafat? He could have had peace – he was getting 97% of what he wanted for the Palestinians but that wasn’t enough. His subsequent statement about killing jews was a prelude the more than 1,000 Israeli’s who lost their lives to suicide bombers over the next two years.
Frankly, if I were NOBama I would be embarrassed to accept this ‘award’. YOu know, it’s all about the company you keep and your man sure does keep some questionable friends around.

This proves that not only does Europe love Nobama, and that our standing has been restored, but it confirms what some of the most astute Liberals and Nobama supporters were saying after the Obama appeal to the IOC did not work: the reason Chicago didn’t get the Olympics—it was Bush’s fault!!!

Lenny is insane; he clearly is a textbook case of Liberal mental illness taken to its extreme. As we have discussed many times here, Liberalism is a form of mental illness. It starts out with the nice people we all know who really mean well, but they are duped by the MSM and absorb the propaganda sound bytes. Then they go out and vote for things like BHO. As the disease progresses, they become more and more irrational. For some the disease stays under control at some level of progression. But for too many, the disease completely consumes their brains, as is the case with Lenny.
Over many years of analysis and observation, I have come to the firm conclusion that mental illness is the only way to explain the phenomenon known as Liberalism.
