Gee let's use some common sense here (A rarity in DC I'm sure.)

If you're a top level executive at a major Wall Street firm that got sucked into the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac fraudulent bonds scheme, you're going to face a 90% pay cut. I don't know about you, but I would simply go to another company. I would pack my bags and take my contacts list and my 20+ years of acquired business acumen and walk out the door. I might even take the money I have in the bank out and open my own business. THEN when the government can't find anyone COMPETENT to work for the 10% of the market price for top business talent, all of the money tossed into bailing out those companies will go right out the window. Why does the government seem to understand the need to pay executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac huge bonuses to avoid the talent drain, but fails to see it on Wall Street? Oh wait, I know. Because most of the top brass at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are/or will be Democrat political appointees. They have to take care of their incompetent friends and family members.

I heard today the stimulus was supposed to create 3.5 million jobs. We have lost 2.7 million. Seems to me when Bush was in office job creation was off the chart and unemployment was it's lowest in history - and it lasted a long, long time.

Goodby revenue generating tax payers.

Well, um, that's because, um, the recession was actually deeper than we thought (translation: it is Bush's fault). And, uh, there are folks who won't grab a mop and try to help clean up (Bush's) mess...
