National Tea Party Convention – Home.
Tea Party Nation is pleased to announce the First National Tea Party Convention. The convention is aimed at bringing the Tea Party Movement leaders together from around the nation for the purpose of networking and supporting the movements’ multiple organizations principle goals. This event will be co-sponsored by other national groups that believe in a responsible and limited federal government that is responsive to all the people. National Taxpayers Union, American Majority, Smart Girl Politics, and SurgeUSA are just a few of the organizations who will be on hand to contribute their time and talents to this convention.
Special Keynote Speaker for the event will be Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska (2006-2009) and 2008 Republican Vice Presidential Nominee.
The convention will feature well-known speakers, workshops, seminars, information centers, and organizational tools for leaders to take back to their respective local Tea Party organizations.

What is our mission in 2010? It should be to teach ourselves why America’s political tradition worked and what will happen if we change it. Obama wants us to change. He wants us to become like the Old World America left in the 18th century. He wants us to forget what the libertarian 19th century Democrats provided that gave us so much prosperity when compared to the stagnation of the Old World. He wants the American society well-oiled and ordered so the few elite can rule the many, for our own good, of course. America’s individual freedom has never been tried elsewhere, though partially approached in some more modern nations. Yet, 80% of the world’s people are struggling to exist, many starving, all under one dictatorship or another. Not so in America, unless deciding to be struggling and unhappy. We need to teach ourselves the difference so we can make the best decision of whether America will fall in line, get on its knees and be ruled by the few, or renew its pledge to individual freedom. Since it is about an hour from my house,,, me thinks I will go. I haven’t posted here in a long while, but how about the cockroaches running the govt now? Hi John. Welcome Back, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I want to say I love you and all our guys in the military. Just so you know I made some contributions this year to Wounded Warriors and a few other organizations that look out for our military.
One of my biggest concerns (and fear) is that the NObama administration is so weak on terror. I mean really, “man made catastrophy”, “isolated incident”. My question to the libbies is this. How many dead americans will it take for you to get serious on the fact that radical islam is AT WAR WITH US? So far none have answered – they just keep denying.

I’m a Democrat of the Democratic Party, and I do not agree with our Democratic Party representatives in Washington.
Our Democratic Party has abandoned many of its older principles and ideals, and we as Democrats are extremely dissatisfied with the “Change We Can Believe In” politicians and their obsession with making our Nation more like the Europe our founding fathers had left behind.
Most Democrats already know their pleas to the Democratic Party are only being answered by repeated insult and injury. Many of our elected officials are no longer thinking of themselves as being our representatives, but instead refer to themselves as leaders in the true form of tyrants.
To all intents and purposes, our elected representatives within the Democratic Party are no longer following in the time-honored footsteps laid down by the founding fathers of our great Nation. In fact, we as democrats see our elected representatives within the Democratic Party abandoning the principles and values as set forth within the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.
Furthermore, many of our Democratic Party representatives in Washington are tainted by corruption, and the liberals among us are supporting socialist radicals with their agendas based on moving our Nation deeper into a socialist form of government. This is a real threat to everything we hold sacred in America, and they are gaining evermore control over our Democratic Party, our Nation, and the American people.
Despite this, we as Democrats can restore control of the Democratic Party back to the party members. All we need to do is provide our support in making sure donations are made directly to patriotic and honorable Democratic Party candidates that are not corrupt or socialists.
So please help spread the message to everyone of our fellow Democrats. Also, don’t forget to contact and request the Unions and other outside contributors to follow our lead as patriotic Americans.

Eric, thanks for posting! My grandfather was a dyed in the wool democrat and I do believe he would agree with everything you said. I am no Democrat nor even a Republican at this point..I am a fed up American that is disgusted by the actions of the parties. It is time for we, the people, to unite and send a very clear message to all of those in Washington…You work for us, you are not above the law, you will be held accountable, before, and not after the damage is done.
Welcome to RV Eric. It’s nice to see some democrats stepping up to the plate. For a long time I was a registered Independent switching to the Republican party ONLY AFTER 9/11 in order to support Bush. He was, in my opinion, the only politician willing to tackle the very serious problem of terrorism.
That was also a political awakening for me. Unlike some americans I always followed the news and knew what was going on domestically and internationally but never followed the policies of our politicians.
Over the last few years I have realized that things have got to change. I’m hoping that with democrats like yourself and republicans like me will rise up in voice and get these crooks out. Needless to say I am hoping for a third party candidate in the next election that will have a real chance at winning.
As for me I have become involved statewide with the tea party protests. There is one in our state capital of Annapolis on 1/13 and weather permitting I will be there. I hope more americans wake up to the reality of Washington and vote ALL of them out.

America was founded on individual liberty and local government no more than one day’s horseback ride from the governed. The Tea Party Movement is another example of citizen participation against the governing elite centered far, far from the folks. It demonstrates the founding ideals of America are still the dominant tradition. Hi Clay, It is precisely the reason I am marching. Maryland is run by a corrupt governor and legislature. We have been ruled by the dems for more than 40 years and it shows in the power they believe they hold.
Because there is a tea party here in Maryland and being one of a minority of republicans, or ”disagreers” within the state I feel it is my obligation to be seen in the crowd. Every american who believes in the principles this country was founded on should be focusing locally as well as nationally to get these power hungry politicians out of office.
We have the same problem in Kalifornia. The Democrites have had a death grip on the Legislature for ~40 years, and the results are infamous.
I’d bet that if the Founders of this Nation could see today what has become of the political leadership, especially in Washington, they would not only want to throw the vermin out, there would be calls to hang them.
Torches and pitchforks and guillotines could prove handy at the demonstration. Since so many of our elected officials want to look to Europe as a new template for this country, okay, look what happened when the French commoners got pissed off.

The tea party here in Maryland was organized by Americans for Prosperity. They are nationwide and should have a chapter in your state. They welcome democrats and enlightened liberals as well as the working guy. There were many speakers that night and only a few were politicians.
So don’t be shy – contact your nearest office and get involved.
