White House Overplays Hand

White House Hits Palin with Open Hand Slap | TMZ.com.

Just a reminder

People will complain that this is petty and beneath the dignity of the office, but (a) Gibbs partly redeems himself by winking at the ubiquity of their moronic “hope” and “change” buzzwords, (b) Palin is an Al Qaeda accomplice, so she sort of had it coming, and (c) as we’ve discussed before, the White House press briefing is one of the lamest, most useless spectacles in American politics. How can this be beneath the dignity of an office that has no dignity to begin with? The only time the briefing’s worth watching is when Gibbs is forced to defend something especially stupid that Biden said, or when something bad’s happened in the Middle East that sets Helen Thomas up for a “question” about whether we maybe had it coming. Lacking either of those contingencies, if the guy wants to resort to some hackish partisan Mencia-esque schtick to liven things up, I say go crazy.

IMO Sarah Palin has more common sense and Patriotism than the sum of that entire pack of Klowns, crooks, degenerates, and America-haters in the current Administration.

I guess you failed to watch President Obama answer questions at the GOP retreat in Baltimore, no telaprompters or crib notes on the hand. But I guess those facts would only blow you mis-guided perception of reality. Palin is now a victim, poor little Beauty Queen from smallville, who could not finish her highest office that she ever held, quit making excuses for her she will only take you down the drain with her. Keep plucketing that chicken.

I did see him answer a budget question with “I would be happy to talk to you at a later time”

Hey Milton, Typical mean spirited liberal. When NObama doesn’t have a teleprompter his speech is peppered with, ah’s, ums, uh, etc. Get my drift.

Yup, Sarah Palin is a beauty queen. With family resources slight she did what all good, down to earth americans do, and that was to find a way through college. THAT is impressive.

I saw a petulant child being defensive and having a little hissy fit that he now had to finally deal with the party that he would not deign speak to for the past 12 months.

Here’s a dose of reality for you Milton: You know why Palin did not finish her term as Governor? It was because she made the choice to spare the people, the office, and herself of the distraction and expense of the vicious systematic attack her enemies had launched against her.

Ever since she came up on their radar as the VP candidate, the Left decided they would destroy her. It wasn’t enough to beat her as a candidate in an election, they had to attack and smear her personally. They spun and twisted everything to use against her and if they didn’t have anything good enough, they just made things up. With that they spread lies and created false rumors. Now most people would think it ended there, but no, the sewer rats of the Left leave no tactic unused when they decide to destroy someone. They began a coordinated, planned, systematic, sustained campaign of attacks on Palin using the legal system. They filed complaints against her of every nature, at every level, they could imagine. They caused investigations to be initiated. Frivolous, absurd, ridiculous, sure. But each one had to be responded to and it got to the point where she just had enough.

Now does that information change anything for you, Milton? I’m guessing it won’t because you probably admire the gutter vermin and sewer rats who operate in such a manner. Then Nobama stands up and decries the bitter partisanship that is so much a part of politics today. Another empty-suit klown who is in so far over his head he doesn’t even realize it.

Palin has more common sense in her little finger than the Messiah has in his entire body.

One of the many things I like about Sarah Palin is that she is so honest and so real. Yes Milton, tsk tsk all you like. She is a woman who actually lives her values. Sure, like most conservatives, she has been given challenges but the choices she has made, i.e., life over death of her Downs Syndrome baby are truly something to be admired.

Don’t believe me? Think about how much easier it would have been for her to abort. She chose life.

Because of this trait within her it radiates outward and gives alot of people alot of hope that maybe not all politicians are partisan crooks.

Boo, hoo, hoo, Palin is a victim again, it sounds like th e only record she likes to play.:((

Adding to Robert’s point, because of Alaskan law, Palin had to pay with her personal resources to defend against charges brought against her as governor. They better fix that situation or winning the Alaskan gubernatorial election will be like drawing the short straw for a stint in the barrel.

Palin had to either bankrupt herself and her family to stay in office, or leave the office and find another way to affect the system.

If playing the victim were the only thing Palin could do, why would her enemies spend all the energy going after her? They’re either scared of what she’s capable of doing, or they just like pulling the wings off flies and setting fire to baby animals, stuff like that.

Oh Milton, thank you so much. You give absolute credibility to the fact that liberals only course of action is to attack because to base an argument with facts is beyond your intellectual capability.

Sasha, I didn’t know that – thanks for the insight.

Thanks for that important information, Sasha. It even makes it more understandable that she resigned.

I don’t imagine that makes any difference to Milton. He’s probably a seminar poster anyway.

It has remained unsaid, because we all know it, but for the educational benefit of simpletons like Milton I’ll point out that the Democrites, in contrast, would never make such a choice. When they are caught in something, even real, serious scandals, they circle the wagons to support and defend their degeneracy and criminality. They’ll drag the country through the sewer and spend millions of taxpayer dollars if that’s what it takes to hold on to their power, even when they are caught red-handed. They lie and deny, stonewall, then obfuscate.
They have no honor, no integrity, no loyalty, and no conscience.
