You silly people! You thought your votes would count? Superdelegates say, we will decide

Uncommitted Democratic superdelegates in Congress overwhelmingly say they won’t necessarily back the presidential candidate who wins the most primary delegates. Instead, electability will be very important in their decision. Of 42 lawmakers interviewed by The Hill, only four said they regarded the primary vote as decisive.

Democrats are finding more excuses to ignore the promise they made when they took over Congress that they wouldn’t pass laws increasing the budget deficit.

Promise? What Promise?

Democrats say a six-month extension of jobless benefits will stimulate the moribund economy and they characterize the new college aid for veterans as a war-related cost.

But they come on the heels of tossing out their fiscal responsibility rules for a $168 billion economic rescue package of tax rebates for most Americans three months ago and a $50 billion measure two months earlier rescuing some 20 million middle-class taxpayers from an average $2,000 in higher taxes.

Deficit hawks in both parties worry that the stimulus bill opened the door to further deficit-swelling legislation. They view the rule — dubbed “PAYGO” in inside-the-Beltway slang for pay-as-you-go — as a key bulwark against Congress’ propensity to spend outside its means.

So welfare stimulates the economy? Really? That is about as intelligent as allowing the Teamsters to police themselves.

Corruption?

Sen. Barack Obama won the endorsement of the Teamsters earlier this year after privately telling the union he supported ending the strict federal oversight imposed to root out corruption, according to officials from the union and the Obama campaign.

It’s an unusual stance for a presidential candidate. Policy makers have largely treated monitoring of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters as a legal matter left to the Justice Department since an independent review board was set up in 1992 to eliminate mob influence in the union.

Sen. Obama’s rival for the Democratic nomination, Sen. Hillary Clinton, has declined to take a stance on Teamsters oversight. During his eight years in office, President Bill Clinton took no action to end the special board. Democratic presidential nominees in 2000 and 2004 — Al Gore and John Kerry — didn’t address the issue, according to Teamsters officials.

It’s Confirmed: Obama Is An Idiot

This is pitiful:

“When the first snippets came out, I thought it was important to give him the benefit of the doubt,” Obama said of Wright, “because if I had wanted to be politically expedient, I would have distanced myself and denounced him right away, right? That would have been the easy thing to do.”

Huh? Let’s take a look at that:

“When the first snippets came out, I thought it was important to give him the benefit of the doubt.”

Really? Why?

When Obama heard the “first snippets” that Wright believed the U.S. government “lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color” and that the United States deserved to be attacked on Sept. 11 because “we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye,” Obama then decided to give Wright the “benefit of the doubt”?

Obama Has A Plan To Tax The Oil Companies..You Will Pay For That Tax

Obama May Levy $15 Billion Tax on Oil Company Profit

The plan would target profit from the biggest oil companies by taxing each barrel of oil costing more than $80, according to a fact sheet on the proposal. The tax would help pay for a $1,000 tax cut for working families, an expansion of the earned- income tax credit and assistance for people who can’t afford their energy bills.

As with every tax, someone pays for it, and it won’t be the company.. Why not cut the funding to Planned Parenthood? $336.7 million in taxpayer funds which added to their profit of $114.8 million and increased its total assets to $1.12 billion.

 When Democrats Go Post-al Indeed

att00019.gif

Oh my how I do love to read of tantrums on the left! James Wolcott tells you of the Kossacks dividing over Hillary and Barack, while Matt just realized that he has been marginalized by the very people he helped to put in power.

And then there are the number of people who take issue with a basic request for competence at the Obama campaign with regards to communications. People apparently don’t want Obama sending out talking points or talking to bloggers, preferring that bloggers stay independent. Well excuse me, why do you think Obama surrogates suck on TV? They aren’t getting fucking talking points, you idiots. How do you think this works?

While we’re on Obama, consider the ridiculous defenses of Obama going on Fox News and lying about his intent to ‘take them on’, to which I could refer you to Chris’s post once again. The straw men arguments were just disgusting and out in force.

The Obamas Mistake The Voices Of The MSM And Democrats As That Of Voters Calling For End To Wright Discussion

We hear time and time again voters are tired of this,” Michelle Obama said in an interview the couple gave to NBC’s “Today” show.

The only voices calling for an end to the Wright Discussion are John Kerry, Jon Stewert, NYT’s, WaPo, and the Obama’s. It appears that the voters are not the ones calling for an end to this, although, based on this poll, I can see why the Obama’s want to MoveOn.

Shall we now MoveOn to Bill Ayers, Alice Palmer, Bernadine Dohrn or Tony Rezko?

Happy May Day: Illegal Aliens imposed more than $26.3 billion in costs paid only $16 billion in taxes, creating a net fiscal deficit of almost $10.4 billion, or $2,700 per illegal household

These figures are from NewsBusters. Seton Motley exposed a problem with a CBS report that cited Rand Corporation study “that asserts that the cost to the taxpayer for health care for “all undocumented men, women and children” — their words, both spoken and in chyron — is $1.1 billion per year.” The problem with that study is that it examines only “nonelderly participants — those between 18 and 64″. What about the children? What about those older than 64? From the Center for Immigration Studies’ “Costs” report page:

Households headed by illegal aliens imposed more than $26.3 billion in costs on the federal government in 2002 and paid only $16 billion in taxes, creating a net fiscal deficit of almost $10.4 billion, or $2,700 per illegal household.

Now that’s more like it!
