According to the Tax Foundation, this year the top 10 percent of earners are on the hook for around 73 percent of all the income taxes collected by Washington.

On the flip side, nearly 50 percent of households — because they don’t make enough or have various deductions — do not pay any income tax whatsoever. (Your payroll taxes “fund” your own stake in Social Security and Medicare.)

Individuals who don’t purchase health insurance may lose their tax refunds according to IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman. After acknowledging the recently passed health-care bill limits the agency’s options for enforcing the individual mandate, Shulman told reporters that the most likely way to penalize individuals that don’t comply is by reducing or confiscating their tax refunds.

Speaking at the National Press Club on Monday, Shulman downplayed the IRS’s role in enforcing the recent overhaul of the health insurance industry by claiming the agency would not aggressively target individuals who don’t purchase coverage. He noted that the health-care bill expressly forbids the agency from freezing bank accounts, seizing assets or pursuing criminal charges, but when pressed said the IRS would most likely use tax refund offsets to penalize those that don’t comply with the mandate. The IRS uses refund offsets to collect from individuals that owe the federal government a delinquent debt.

A Simple Gulfstream III Wasn't Good Enough for This Witch. Let Them Eat Cake!

This is QUEEN PELOSI’S  JET!!!  And the Democrites talk about Palin’s dresses???

Queen Pelosi wasn’t happy with the small USAF C-20B jet, Gulfstream III, that comes with the Speaker’s job … OH NO!  Queen Pelosi was aggravated that this little jet had to stop to refuel, so she ordered a Big Fat, 200-seat, USAF C-32, Boeing 757 jet that could get her back to California without stopping!  I understand that a former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, flew commercial most of the time.

Many, many legislators walked by and grinned with glee as Joe informed everyone of what Queen Nancy’s Big Jet costs us, the hard working American tax payers, literally thousands of gallons of fuel every week.

Since she only works 3 days a week, this gas guzzling jet gets fueled and she flies home to California every Friday and returns every Monday, at a cost to the taxpayers (YOU and ME are those taxpayers!) of about $60,000, one way!

As Joe put it ….”unfortunately we have to pay to bring her back on Monday night and that costs us another $60,000!”  Taxpayers, that is $480,000 per month and that is an annual cost to us of $5,760,000!!!

Keep in mind the figures above do NOT include the cost of plane or crew … just the fuel!!!  One has to wonder what the total package costs us?No wonder she complains about the cost of this war … it might cramp her style and she is styling on my back and yours.  I think of the military families in this country doing without and this woman, who heads up the most do-nothing Congress in the history of our country, keeps fueling that jet while doing nothing..

Queen Pelosi wants you and me to conserve our carbon footprint.  She wants us to buy  smaller cars and Obama wants us to get a bicycle pump and air up our tires. She is another tireless promoter of the Global Warming AGW FRAUD and would like nothing more than to tax us into oblivion for our “Carbon Footprints”. Each week she leaves a carbon footprint as wide as the Grand Canyon in her big jet. What a total F’ing hypocrite! Who do these people think they are???  Their motto is …. Don’t do as I do … JUST DO AS I SAY! The hypocrisy is just staggering; Alice in Wonderland, The Emperor’s New Clothes, and the Twilight Zone all rolled into one.

And on top of that …. now she wants to tax our IRA’s & 401K’s!

It’s worth noting, too, that Pelosi received some quiet help when she moved on [William] Jefferson from Rangel and several of his CBC allies. Jefferson was something of an outcast in the group. Out of principle, most CBC members stood with him. But some of the group’s most important leaders – like Rangel – quietly assisted Pelosi (hoping, no doubt, to gain a chit from a future Speaker).

But when it comes to Rangel now, Pelosi won’t find similar help at the top of the CBC. The Harlem Democrat is a CBC lion, a founding member who inspires deep reverence from its members. If Rangel asks them to fight for him, they will.

This is why Pelosi has been dreading this day for so long. If she pushes, she could probably muster the votes to bounce Rangel, but the price would be steep: an ugly fight that would attract national press attention, hand Republicans cannon fodder, and divide her own coalition. Or she could look the other way, which would give the GOP even more ammunition and anger swing-district Democrats, who don’t want to have to explain to their constituents why they’re “protecting” Charlie Rangel.

Or as Newsbusters pointed out, WaPo Blog Compares Black Conservatives to Genocidal Dictators.  How very sad and ignorant.  But TheRoot.com, a blog owned by the Washington Post, seems to have no qualms about doing so, as evidenced in its list of 21 “Black Folks We’d Like To Remove From Black History“.

On Clarence Thomas:

Although he’s only the second man of color to serve in the Supreme Court, the Backstreet Boys have more standing in the black community than Clarence Thomas. That’s because he looks to the Constitution as “colorblind,” says he’s a man who just happens to be black and opposes government programs intended to help minorities. I’m not sure if the late Thurgood Marshall would want to pop Clarence ‘side his head with his gavel, but there are plenty of blacks who would volunteer to do it for him.

Anyone familiar with his career would know that Justice Marshall applied the body of law, not skin color, whether he was on the bench or before the bench.  It was the premise of Marshall that the Constitution was “colorblind”.  The COTUS recognizes and affords rights and protrection to all citizens , not just whites, not just blacks, etc….

On Michael Steele:

“We’re sure that, at first, the 12 blacks who still claimed to be Republicans post-Bush were full of glee about his election,” TheRoot says of Michael Steele. “Unfortunately, Steele has since morphed into the Bozo of politics. So there you have the real reason to purge these men..They dared to be a conservative…Note that Alan Keyes and Marion Barry also make their list, but absent are Democrat Rep. Charles Rangel and Democrat Rep. William “Cold Cash” Jefferson..Why?  Political party.

Why Cheney attacks is up on the Politico website…4 pages of of I hate Cheney and his daughter for daring to question Obama.  The best part of his arguement?  Quotes from Andrew Sullivan and Keith Olbermann…

In interviews for this article, some of Cheney’s harshest critics said the origins of his Obama criticism may be more psychological than political. MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann said in an e-mail to POLITICO that Cheney has been “shrill, totally unpatriotic and sounding more concerned with torture and interrogation than with results and intelligence.”

“I think he may believe that only his vision can save America, and thus anything, including lying to America, is justifiable,” Olbermann wrote. “This is, I believe, called ‘a Messiah Complex.’”

Andrew Sullivan, who writes “The Daily Dish” blog on The Atlantic.com, wrote in an e-mail for this story: “Cheney’s unprecedentedly aggressive approach … reflects his own knowledge that he has committed war crimes of a very grave sort, war crimes that at some point could lead to prosecution and will undoubtedly lead to historical infamy.”

“If that becomes the prevailing narrative — because it is true — he will go down in history as a man who betrayed the very core principles of Western civilization out of panic and then covered it up,” Sullivan continued. “So he has to change the subject and launch this kind of P.R. campaign to throw everyone off the scent. … Cheney is cornered.
