Oh my how I do love to read of tantrums on the left! James Wolcott tells you of the Kossacks dividing over Hillary and Barack, while Matt just realized that he has been marginalized by the very people he helped to put in power.

And then there are the number of people who take issue with a basic request for competence at the Obama campaign with regards to communications. People apparently don’t want Obama sending out talking points or talking to bloggers, preferring that bloggers stay independent. Well excuse me, why do you think Obama surrogates suck on TV? They aren’t getting fucking talking points, you idiots. How do you think this works?

While we’re on Obama, consider the ridiculous defenses of Obama going on Fox News and lying about his intent to ‘take them on’, to which I could refer you to Chris’s post once again. The straw men arguments were just disgusting and out in force.

I posted that CBS was looking to outsource their reporting. Today, the New York Post is reporting:

Katie Couric, who jumped to CBS two years ago as the savior of network news, is reportedly preparing to leave the anchor chair well before her contract is set to end in 2011.

The Wall Street Journal reported last night that Couric, 51, could leave as early as January, after the presidential inauguration. And today’s Washington Post said that if she’s eased out, CBS might offer her either a talk show or a spot on “60 Minutes” - or release her from her contract.

CBS has been under heavy pressure to cut costs, and Couric’s $15 million annual salary has become a big target. She was supposed to lift the “CBS Evening News” out of last place, where it has been for years, trailing Brian Williams on NBC and Charlie Gibson on ABC.

I happened to click on CNN and caught that little promo for Anderson Cooper 360°, but that isn’t true. The number 1 show is the show with the most viewers, not the most viewers in a certain demographic. Here is how the rating look:

Think Progress is a site that dedicates itself to pointing an accusatory finger at all things Republican, while rarely, if ever, discussing Democratic talking points. It is a site that references itself as the source. Within the past 2 weeks, Amanda, an author at the site has been caught telling fibs. Fibs may be a strong word, so I will change that to, Amanda did not take the time to verify what she was writing about:

Last week Think Progress blogger Amanda accused John McCain of plagiarizing a speech from Admiral Timothy Ziemer only to retract the story hours later. Amanda, last name unknown, had failed to check with McCain’s office before running her “exclusive,” and she failed even to check McCain’s website to see if he had used similar language in the past. In fact, he had. In a 1995 speech to the VFW, a speech predating Ziemer’s, McCain had uttered the same phrases he was now alleged to have plagiarized. Amanda apologized for her sloppy reporting, but apparently she didn’t learn much from the episode.

Earlier this week the MSM was reporting on the fighting in Basra between Iraqi security forces and elements of Muqtada (Mookie) Al Sadr’s Mahdi Militia. Except it wasn’t reporting; the reports invariably ended with editorials asserting Mookie was just flexing his muscle; demonstrating that by no means does the Gov’t have control in Iraq. When the cease-fire halted the fighting, the MSM “reporters” asserted Mookie had accomplished his objective and now wanted to demonstrate his control over events by halting the fighting, plus look like the benevolent power to the people. Prime Minister Al Maliki was only too glad to accept Mookie’s offer and have Iraqi forces retreat behind American protection.

About 22 demonstrators gathered outside the ABC News building in Washington, D.C., on Thursday to deliver a petition reportedly bearing 200,000 signatures of people who agree that “FOX News is a Republican mouthpiece” and that networks, including ABC News, should stop “parroting” the Fox News Channel’s talking points.

MoveOn.org, a liberal political activism group, sponsored the demonstration and said in a press release that the petitions were delivered to major networks around the country, including CBS and CNN.

The demonstrators told Cybercast News Service that the Fox News Channel is “not a real news organization.” Nonetheless, they said, major news networks use Fox, a cable station, as a source for talking points.

“We are here to say, please, at the end of this election year, engage in responsible journalism and don’t parrot Fox News,” Adam Greene, director of strategic campaigns for MoveOn, told Cybercast News Service.

How else can this be explained?
